  2. I run screaming at the mere mention of the word HISUN....I had a nightmare of problems with mine ,beginning on it's first day.and got zero help from Massimo in TX or HISUN in China
  3. Hey all. Just thought I'd weigh in with our pretty much horrible experience with a new Axis 700 purchased last May 2023 from Lowes in Winchester, VA. Brought it home, put about 10 hours on it and it won't hold a charge. LOOOOONG story, the mobile tech has been out 4 times, replaced the battery, voltage regulator twice. I told him in February I thought (after doing a bit of research) that it was the stator, since if kept on the trickle charger it reads 100% charged, run it 15 minutes and it's down to 40%-that means the stator is not charging the battery while it's running. Anyway, last time he came out the part that he was supposed to change out was shipped in too small a package and was bent and unusable. I have about a 10 page email chain to 6 different folks at Hisun in TX begging for some resolution. They ignore my calls, emails, voice mails, etc. Needless to say, we are really frustrated with the vehicle, the company, the mechanic; pretty much everything to do with this worthless POS. It is truly ridiculous to spend $10K on something that is now sitting in our garage torn apart waiting for the worthless mechanic once again.

  5. Follow up on my issue. I took it to a HISUN certified repair shop and it took these guys 3-4 hours of troubleshooting to figure out what was wrong because it was sporadic (I get it...if you can't get consistency with the issue and recreate it, it is hard to diagnose). The issue with mine was an obvious QA issue from the manufacture (I only have 100 miles on it). The plug for the fuel injector power was not plugged in all the way so sometimes it worked and other times it didn't.
  6. very good wright up, i just bought a 2022 sector 750 it had 3 miles on it, now it has 18 so have not had any issues yet, i know there coming im a retired mechanic and i see things im going to change first the the muffler mod i glad i found this post. thanks

  8. I purchased a 2008 Qlink Rodeo 700 a few years ago. I am from Michigan. Anyone know of any local repair shops? I had a dead battery, so I replaced that, started right up, ran the quad down the road, (this was last year), put it in the barn, shut it off. then a couple weeks later, went to go start it again, and nothing. I have power to the dash lights, horn, turn signals, wench etc, but nothing to the starter switch, and I hate electrical crap. Battery still reads 12.x volts. Any suggestions would be amazing. I've owned it over 2 years, and haven't run 1 tank of gas through it. No time to screw with it, and very frustrated. Hoping someone can offer some advice of value.
  9. By "small body tank" do you mean carberator bowl? If so you might have a fuel pump issue. I'm not familar with the carbed models do they have an electric pump? have you tested the pressure on the fuel line? is there an inline filter?
  10. Interesting, I have heard of a few on cars where they fail once hot. That's not where my mind would have taken me troubleshooting. Glad to hear you've fixed it!
  11. I wasn't able to verified for spark but it acted the same way. I read on car forum about the crank position sensor causing the same issue as what I seen on my UTV. Since the part is not that expensive and difficult to get to, I went ahead and replace them anyway. Once that replaced, everything work fine and the engine seem to be a little more responsive and less noisy as well. We took it out a few more times for couple trips over an hour ride at the time. No problem so far.

  14. Looks like this, gotta pull the screws and the fuses are inside. It's under the seat near the batt on the smaller displacement UTVs, and I believe under the hood on the firewall on the bigger ones. If you look at the wiring diagrams a lot of stuff is shared so a seemingly unrelated fuse can cause issues on a lot of systems.
  15. That is to say the crank position sensor? Any reason you narrowed down on that and the coils? Was it a no spark situation after the fifteen minutes?
  16. Nurse First----Erase your #3 down. Don't start reengineering the kart. #1 Although you may find a stubshaft the size you want, you may be placing undue strtess with that pulley and belt hanging out there. Wouldn't want my kids riding a hazard like that. Which leaves #2 #2 seach ebay or amazon or perhaps a local auto supply for standoffs or spacers. In fact I have seen large nuts (5/8 or 3/4)to use as standoffs. Cheaper and this isn't rocket science.check close and make sure you will clear all parts by raising engine. Use flat washers and lockwashers to secure enine firmly. make a habit of checking tightness regularly.
  17. I'm testing some things this week to see. Eventually, we'll have an ad free offering as well. I think Google injects too many ads sometimes.
  18. Yes, please see what you can do. Now, ads are popping up on top of posts and I cannot shut them down, so I can't even read certain posts. I click on the X in the corner and the ad changes with an arrow in the opposite corner. I click on the arrow and the previous as appears.
  19. So that looks like your primary (the one off the wet clutch). The primary gets wider as you speed up, pushing the belt higher on the pulley. The secondary does the opposite. That's how the variable gear ratio is achieved. There are weighted rollers that push outwards against the spring force to achieve this. Likely one of the rollers popped out of place and got wedged keeping your primary pulley in "high gear" if that makes sense. The fix requires disassembly, and putting the rollers back in the right spots, but it might be best to take it to a shop that does these things, or buy a new primary. To answer the other question I have not disassembled one of these, but my understanding is they are not supposed to have grease.
  20. Here's the "no spark" troubleshooting section from the service manual. The full manual are available in the download section under Hisun HS400 (Hisun branded version of the same SxS)
  21. Been there before. Installed a power steering unit on one. Boss reached thru the steering wheel and about broke his arm on turn on. I opened the unit and scoped the bias circuit....OEM circuit board insertion build error. Replacement had same problem. Info turned over to HiSun. Given a unit by Massimo off of a working SXS and customer happy. That was 4 years ago. Should be a non problem with a new Power steering controller.
  22. We use google auto ads which injects ads in odd places sometimes. We'll have a look.
  23. 85 today. Bass are spawning ..no damage at home or Whiskey Bay camp
  24. I have a 2023 T Boss 550 that I bought new 2.5 months ago. Im still breaking it in and will only use it as a tool on my land. Good things about it: lots of features for the money. So far it starts and runs well, although it just developed a weird smell that I need to figure out. It feels solid. Overall not a bad machine if it continues to run. Time will tell. Not so good things: it's no hot rod. Tops out at 40. It's a noisy machine, not just the engine, but lots of squeaks and rattles. Hoping lube and tighted nuts will help. It does need to broken in correctly. They run really rough at first, but the throttle response is improving with every use. You have to let warm up. The neutral switch is spotty, but hear that is a fairly simple adjustment. It's not an easy machine to work on. Everything is jammed in. I bought it because of a tight budget. If I had the cash, I would have gotten a Ranger, but then, my brother has nothing but issues with his. I'd recommend a Home Pioneer. The base 520 is only 500 more than the t boss and you know that thing will run forever.
  25. DON'T BUY A MASSIMO! The quality is soooo bad! I have a 2021 550 TBoss new when inventory of the decent brands was at rock bottom. I paid new what used decent brands were selling for. I quickly learned why. The quality is soooo bad. Out of the gate I had to make numerous adjustments to get it to run, drive and operate smoothly. Couldn't tow anything because the hitch receiver snapped off, the cheap plastic guards in front of the suspension parts broke off in no time, flooring cracked after a bit of use, windshield is now un clear and unusable after cleaning a couple of times (yes, I was extremely gentle), And all of the above and more on a machine I barely use (very low miles) I would love to sell it and buy a good one some day but I don't think anyone would buy it. Listen to all of the advice above and stay away from this brand!
  26. Thanks Rainman! Mine is a 2021 also. I have ordered and received one from ebay. The wiring was correct, but I had to rig the clamp because it was too big. I bent a large heavy -duty washer to go between the clamp and steering column. For the connector, I had to attach the wires with a wire connector. For my friend's buggy I will order the one you posted to me in the link. Well, mine is turning over, but I have no spark to the spark plug. I'm not a good mechanic on these buggies. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
  27. Hasn’t been warm enough up here for much fishing, but it’s changing today. Hope you didn’t get any damage from that last storm.

I just bought my first SxS.   (XP 4 1000) I have ridden and raced dirt bikes for 40+ years.  Old age has set in and I needed a new format to continue my off road adventures.  My wife and I enjoy exploring old mining sites and ghost towns all over Arizona.  We have a home in Southern Arizona and share our time between home and Phoenix.  We look forward to the tips and information shared here.
