  1. The service schedule is in the owners manual, just like your personal car or truck, the manufacture knows best when to service your UTV. It is always recommended to follow the manual for service. That being said, I would normally check the UTV after the first few rides, as things come loose and need adjustment. Normally it is best to service it right before the riding season, and after the riding season is over. I would change the oil every six months or so. and check the bolts for tightness after a few weekends of riding. Otherwise that is pretty much it. I would recommend changing the cvt belt every 200 hours or so, as it can break and would make for a bad weekend if it did while out and about away from home.   2. There are no part numbers for the cylinder head porting or performance camshaft. We have them here and exchange your parts. As for the stalling issue, I would check things like pick up coil. they fail at times and it normally happens when it gets hot. I would also check when it does stall for spark, and fuel delivery. the fuel pump should run for three to four seconds when the key is turned on then stop. when it dies, you would need to see if the coil is putting out spark to the spark plug. It takes three things to make an engine run, spark, compression and fuel. any one of those not working, and it will not run. As for the brake pedal pressed to run, that normally happens when its in gear. Make sure the transmission is in N before trying to start.
  3. On your Strike, we can do things like port the cylinder head and we also have performance cam shafts. What is it you are trying to do, race, dunes, hill climb or just more performance? Most of the performance gains can be done through clutch mods and gearing.

  8. If you get push back from the dealer, I would contact hisun directly in Texas. 972-446-0765 and push #8 on the menu. it will take you directly to the service warranty section.
  9. according to the factory owners manual, you are required to perform an oil change at 50 miles. and the next service is not due until 250 miles. But none of these have any bearing to a faulty cam chain tensioner. I think the dealer is the one pushing back not hisun. Hisun has never asked me for customers service records. Even though they can, it is very rare. The dealer is the one asking. In the owners manual it states: As the vehicle owner, you are responsible for the performance of the required maintenance listed in your owner’s manual. HISUN recommends that you retain all receipts covering maintenance on your vehicle, but HISUN cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance As the vehicle owner, you should be aware that HISUN may deny your warranty coverage if your vehicle or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance or unapproved modifications. You have not done any abuse, you did not neglect this uvt, you did not do improper maintenance as well. Lack of a timely service is not improper maintenance, simply late on the service.
  10. Officially you can do your own maintenance on the vehicle as long as you kept the oil and filter receipts, that constitutes a service. But with your mileage have you done any oil change yet?
  11. The only maintenance you would really have done is an oil change and that will have no bearing on the timing chain tensioner. How many miles or hours are on it?
  12. what model is it. This can be a few things, of course the three most basic things are spark, fuel and compression. Its pretty easy to check for spark, and fuel test is also easy to test. You only need to use a compression tester for motorcycles/atv as they have the smaller adapter needed for some of the small openings in the cylinder head. But on a guess it should be putting out in the very high 165 or more.
