  1. does this mean they will be hosting/repping the Joyner line in the US or are they only going to be a parts supplier ?

What I was told is that they will air freight in the higher wear items first. Then ship over new 2010 units as soon as epa certs are complete. So to answer your question yes they are starting back up again.

  2. I've been trying to get in touch with Joyner since yesterday, no response.

We talked with them three times today. I was told that they are restructuring and down sizing. They are not moving the tempe based operation and have renegotiated their lease. We all no these are tough times so lets hope they pull through, and not jump to any conclusions. I love being a dealer and have had very good success with this product I would hate to see it go away.

  3. Closed, gone, no more. Left everyone hanging, did not even tell the dealers. What Joyner Toys remained at HQ were sent to Auction and the building was raped clean of everything. A formally notice is suppose to be made this week and officially closed nest week. Not to worry as most parts can be found, only area of concern as expressed by Lenny and I agree, are the Diffs. More important than ever to take care of them and possibly upgrade if needed with Lenny's Diff Kit. We all now have Collectibles. Life moves on and our Troopers are still fun.

This is not true. I just talked with Joyner today and they assured me that they do not intend to close. There has been some down sizing and liquidating of (09) inventory but the utv company is still intact and getting ready for the 2010 season.

  4. Fasted61, does your system still use the stock steering rack? Where is the turn force applied, if stock rack, how has it stood up to the power of you hydraulics. Can you take a photo or two?

    Thank You,

    Kinarfi

Yes I am running the stock rack with Lenny's upgrade.

  5. I can't imagine the tracks would require anymore power to turn than my 31X10.50X15 tire setup I have on my trooper now. With the front lockers engaged It nearly takes a manbeast to hang on to the thing in rocks or uneven surfaces. AND Lenny I believe has the same tire setup. Bigger the tire & rim setup, the more power/torque required. Lenny has be dealing with this from day ONE!

    rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

I can assure you that the tracks will require alot more power than turning the 31" tire and wheel combo. You have to realize these things weigh 85 lbs and are not round they don't roll like a tire and not only that but when you are in 2 feet of heavy snow you have all of the side resistance of that snow when you try to turn. The machine doesn't just float on top it sinks in a certain amount. Think of trying to steer your tires in deep wet cement. Under extreme conditions I have stalled the hydraulics. but that has only happened a time or two. This is why I question whether the electric assit would be enough, if it is that would be great. I think that for most it is the way to go.

  6. silverbullet.

no its not touchy at speed it is power steering it will feel light. On pavement it is light but not touchy.A new steering rack would be good but the old one will be ok.

    Rick

I have the latest joyner kit and it is not as touchy as the first but it does rob HP being that it is hydraulic. The reason I chose this kit is because I run tracks in the winter and I was afraid that the electric would not be powerful enough. I have seen atvs with electric steer and tracks not be able to over come heavy snow. If your system would work with tracks I would be very interested then I wouldn't loose HP.

    Thanks ED

  7. we use nitrogen because there is no moisture in it, when the oil gets hot the preasure does not go up in the shock as much. Your valving will stay alot cleaner. As far as the preasure, the shock is not a joyner shock which is alot different story

Flatbed I wrote to you awhile back and didn't get an answer or I missed it. Being a newby that could surely be the case. I was told by Lenny that you are the shock guru! So I wanted to know what you thought about the air shocks that King is offering. would they be a good choice or would the dule coil over fox be better. Myself and my customers are not racing just trail riding. I would sure like your advice on this.

    Thanks Ed

  8. My 08 trooper is no longer "turn-key". it won't start unless i give it some gas. once it's running it idles down and acts perfectly normal. any ideas? on dirtbikes it's usually valves, but this ain't no dirtbike. the mighty trooper has about 700km on it and I've done nothing to it so far but an oil change. what should I try and in what order?

It is in the throttle body and they don't sell parts for it seperately. If you can't get one let me know I have them in stock seen this problem several times.

    Fast Ed

  9. Thanks guys for the ideas. I will give it a try. Its good to be back, I have been rebuilding my house all summer long and havn't had no time for anything else. No fun;-( Great to hear from you guys and I hope all is well.

The problem is in the throttle body the Iac valve is not cycling properly. You will have to go to a dealer and get a new throttle body they don't sell the valve seperately. This valve is on the bottom of the throttle body if you can find a replacement somewhere that would be great. so far I haven't been able to find one. Seen this problem several times. good luck.

  10. How do the tracks work in the snow. I am considering getting some but have been waiting to here how they work in deep snow 2-3' or more.

They work very well. Iwas just using a set of atv tracks that I already had and they did the job. But this year I am going to run a utv track so it should be even better. will let you know.

    Ed

  11. Do you have any pictures? Lennys T2 pulled our truck and trailer out of the sand in Logandale, they (T2-4) are awesome pulling things out.

    Cinda

No I didn't take any pics of that but I do have pics of the T2 with the tracks on it. I will see if I can figure out how to post them.

  12. welcome always glad to have more joyner owners.

Thanks guys and gals for the warm welcome. I have been learning alot lately from reading your posts. The Joyner line up is new to me. but so far I have been very impressed with the product. I know we have issues with these machines but all in all I think the basic product is very good. The first thing I did with my trooper when I got it last winter was install a track kit and hit the snow. It never let me down. Was sure fun towing rhinos two at a time when they got stuck. We are working on accessories and up grades for these machines all the time. If we find out something that is helpful I will be sure to pass it on.

    Thanks again Fast Ed

  13. NO, You will have a hard time finding springs to fit corectly, also the valving is bad. You want a shock that you can adjust the valving. Plus you need a quality shock.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I see that king has an air shock that has 8" of travel for the rear and 6" for the front. I can get these for 260.00 each. What is your opinion of these compared to the fox emulsion? will a person still get the flex they need.

  14. I have it wrote down somewhere on this site, i believe i am running a 600 and 400 on the rear, it might be a 450, when i get home tonight i will try to remember and look. for sure you want the 600s, i tried running a 350 with the 600 because i had them, it was way to soft, when you turned going fast the back would all of a sudden law over and start to turn the car. Now that i am thinking about it i am all most sure i have 600 and 450s in the back. once again this is the best thing you can do is to get the stock shocks off the car. it makes a huge difference in how the car feels, the ride is so much better and so much safer.

I am new to tis site hope I get this rite. I wanted to know if you think the stock shocks would work with dual rate springs.
