Hello Sir I just visit your profile and you are the senior member of the community. Kindly suggest me an ideal UTV brand for newbies.

It really all boils down to Price range, and what the main uses of the UTV will be.. If it it's more for light work and towing i would recommend the base models of Kawasaki, which is the Mule SX, Or a Polaris Ranger. the base of the ranger is the 500 model, which is about $3000 more than the Kawasaki SX, for pretty much the same capability and features. The Mule is a very basic machine, locking differential for muddy areas (2 wheel drive, not 4 wheel)
400cc (13 horsepower) engine with a top speed of 25 MPH. comfortable seating for 2. endless accessories. there are also larger versions for utility work such as the Mule 3010 and 4010, as well as the newer PRO models which are north of $12,000.
If you want more for fun and speed, i would look at the Kawasaki Teryx or KRX, or the Honda Pioneer or Talon.

What oil is best for my 610? I use 10/40 in truck but I see on e-bay they want me to use 5/50 ??? any help?
-
10W40 is the best as it covers the widest variety of heat range.
i usually use 10W40 or 15w50 as it's good from just below 32 degrees to around 115 degrees outside temp. 5W50 is for VERY cold climates.
i also use Kawasaki K-Tech oil which has a Zinc additive in it for the Camshaft. Modern auto oils do not. You could also use regular auto oil with a ZDDP additive.

May need some help on testing charging system

Best and easiest way is to get a Volt meter, set it to DC 20V
Hook + to + and - to - on the battery, with the Mule running, you should get at least 13 volts. If it doesnt show 13 volts or more, it's time to check the voltage regulator,,I'm not sure if the procedure for that but I will look up some stuff.

You wouldn't happen to know when to replace a flywheel, would you. the teeth are starting to worn, I am rebulding the engine, so id like to do it since i already have the engine removed from the chassis (frame). what would you think.
They are a little pricey,, $150 for a new on from Babbits Online.
