  1. as in the previous post, you've made a simple error of double quoting, which make for poor reading and confusion, as the writer/poster, you can edit your own posts, as Moderator, I feel compelled to edit some of your posts, as long as I don't indulge myself in censorship,  so if some of your posts get changed, that's why, but I will mark it as edited.

@silverbullet I am very curious what makes you post the way you do (using quotes and pasting) and how you are accessing this forum. Could you please share what browser and/or device you are using? It seems you are having issues with simply replying to topics and I would like to help but need to understand better.

For the sake of us readers, is it possible for you (or Me) to edit / delete out the errors of posting made by SB in this thread, I don't think it could thought of as Censorship, just cleaning up the thread which has turned into  a Mess and become unintelligible in places.

  3. WOW ,  Interesting, good, never dealt with SB, always went to joyner-usa.com or called them on the phone whenever I need parts and or advice.

One thing I have always appreciated about this forum is an actual attempt to help each other figure the problems we have had with Troopers and other Joyner products, we solved a lot of problems back then and the need to hang together and share is still very valid!

What is scary is that a man with an online business has issues posting in forums. So yes people are watching. Is it scary for me? No. I'll sit back with my tea and watch the show.

I put one of these in and hooked speakers to it a listen to music from my phone, works good, but would do better if I got some better speakers.  I added a multiconductor cable and put remote switched on the dash for power, volume up and down and move forward to next song.   If you know what you're doing, it's easy and can use any speaker you want.

  6. I had that problem and when camping one time I parked on a hill and it would start with out a problem if I just coasted down the hill and popped the clutch, and once the engine warmed up, no more problems!

I've always wondered if the starter pulled the voltage down far enough to effect things.

I put new rings on the pistons and never had the problem again.

  7. Yes!!! that is exactly the reason. I am the one who started the act of using these bolts, my reasoning being that the thread acts as a place for the bolt to start shearing, just cut them all to length and remember, you have to grind the head down also, I think I posted a photo of that also.  to grind them down, I used a drill and a grinder, and I never did agree with those who put nuts on the bolts,

AND while you have access to the mating surfaces, sand them so the locktite has a little more to grab onto when you apply it to all the very clean surfaces and bolt when you do your final assembly.

did you find any instruction on how to do all this or have they been lost?

  8. which canyon? I Have a delorme PN 60, but delorme got bought by Garmin and I need to upgrade, their replace is around 500, What phone do you have, Try mytrails, it's free or you can go pro for about $5.00, I worry about getting out somewhere and breaking down or getting stuck, so I have a satellite communicator, Inreach, had Spot, recommend either, but Inreach was Delorme and now Garmin and you can download maps of anywhere you plan to go. same with Mytrails, but a bit more of a hassle and you can save your track too as a .GPX file,  I have most of my rides all the way back to 2008 saved

Hi everyone! I am the new proud owner of a 09 joyner trooper 1100cc.. unfortunately it has a few issues.. alternator, red shift cable, and power steering pump needs to be replaced.. it seems these parts are pretty pricey on any of the joyner dealer sights..i saw someone on here that said they have parts cheaper... any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Sounds like you bought a machine that has been modified with hydraulic steering.   Bad news in my opinion.  If the wires in the alternator still look good, it could just be the brushes, I've fixed a few for fellow members, just charge for shipping and parts I have to buy to fix it.

Take some photos of the rig and the bad parts and post them. Plus, fill out the profile, maybe one of us lives just around the corner
