  1. I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next

  4. I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 with a broke chinese hisun motor and I know that I'm not alone! Almost all the places that were selling them in Colorado don't anymore due to the return for repairs on the clutches and broken timing chains! Don't have yours fixed because it will happen again! They just replace the broken parts with more junk chinese parts! I talked with a UTV mechanic that has replaced one person's clutch 4 times! I have people contacting cub cadet about these problems and also looking into complete motor replacement from hisun junk to a Japanese motor in which the chinese cloned their junk from.
  5. I generally use my challenger for light duty misc. use, and for plowing. The one thing I dislike about this machine is the difficulty in shifting. I've had it the shop and they adjusted the shifting lever, but I still have issues. Some times it shifts ok, but the problem is it is hard to get it to move the lever from high to reverse or low to high or from any gear to the other. Seems I always have to accelerate a little to get it to engage to what gear I need it to go to. This is definitely not normal.
  6. I have a barn find Challenger 750 that was in parts. After getting it all back together it will not start with the key. I believe that there is something wrong with the safety switch on the brake switch. I can start it with a push button I also think it’s with the safeguards on the machine Thanks Jon
  7. Afternoon, New owner of a 750 traded my Harley for it from my Son... It has 16hrs on it and has just been sitting covered in a garage since purchased. I am trying to find a Shop/Service Manual and want to get a good one and not learn the hard way. I would like to have a Hard Copy as well as CD back Up... Can anyone recommend one that they have purchased? I did see a post here for a PDF download but it was an older post and said unavailable. Also welcome to hearing your thoughts of what you would do if you just took delivery of this. Thx Keith
  8. Hello all, New to the forum, so I apologize if I'm posting wrong. I bought a used 2017 cub cadet challenger 750 and it has a knocking sound coming from the engine when at idle. It appears to lessen when reeved. Is this normal noise? Thanks everyone.
  9. Recently acquired a 2017 Challenger 750. Previous owner ran it low on oil so I had to do a top end. Starts and runs but it seems to be running very rich. There isn't too much information available for troubleshooting the EFI system. Air filter is new and I even tried running with it removed with no change. Some of the parts are relatively cheap, so I did replace the IAC and the MAF sensor. Could this be related to the TPS sensor or which direction should I head in next? There doesn't seem to be any adjustment on the TPS and I have read something about a WOT ECU reset but that didn't change anything. Thanks in advance
  10. Was driving the cub to work. Cold out side so had it started for 15 min before I left. Drove about 2 miles no problem then all of a sudden started to loose power, push gas to the floor to get off the side of the road. Once turned off the road continued to put along so figured would get to a spot to be able to figure out. Once I stop the engine died, and will just crank over and not fire. Checked fuel filter no clog, has spark. The oil was low but no light came on. No sure if there is an oil kill switch or if the starting kill switch deal is malfunctioning. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks

  13. i have a 2017 cub cadet challenger 750 camo, after a month of nonstop work with the pandemic i was finally getting a chance to ride it. it would not start, the battery was dead, went to charge the battery and noticed a mouse had chewed a yellow wire one of2 going to a block of some kind in battery box, it is tied into the 2 fuse relay breakers attached to the starter relay. there is a red with stripe wire that goes to a harness below the rectifier in engine compartment, it has no power to it with multimeter and the fuse block is getting real hot. other than that the dash lights up, but no readout and the gauges dont cycle, the fuel pump does not start. on the fuel pump i checked the red wires to the cdi and both have contact and are intact but one does not have power when the key is on and there is no spark i tried starting fluid. i have swapped out the cdi from my cousins same year and model, also the ecu and the main relay. i have no idea where to look now. his has broke the shim again and will not start. also i did notice that i wiggled a wire connector going to a sensor on the engine and a couple lights came on on the dash, the stirring wheel one and check engine but only did it once and i cant get it to do it again. i have looked over the harness for anymore damage and have found none. has anyone seen this problem before, is it wiring? ground? what do i need to check next. the place i bought it has no service the guy said he could only swap parts and try. sent me to another place over an hour from me and that guy on the phone said he was covered up and didnt know when he could look at it so he must be busy lol. besides i dont want to have them charge me $3000 to replace everything on it before they get going. my advice is do not buy a cub cadet, we thought we were getting a cub cadet and it turns out it is a cheap chinese pos. i still love my cub but wish i had known this before i bought it and i would not have. any help would be appreciated thanks
  14. Was using the machine all day to haul wood...no issues until the end... When I try to start it, the dash lights come on but starter does not...seems like no power to the starter. It is in park, but when I put the brake on to start, it registers N. Won't start in neutral either... Tried rocking it, did not help... Help...
  15. Camso has told me they will not be making any tracks for the 2020 challengers, only through 2019 because not enough were made or sold. Are there any other track options? Mattracks? Anyone have any information?

  17. I appreciate any advice anyone can give. I am working on a Challenger 750 that the drive belt broke on. Removed the side cover and spun the primary drive sheaves. Something was clunking. Took it off and pulled the outer cover and all of the rollers were out of their spot and clunking when rotating. I noticed these rollers are not round. They have 2 different flat spots on them. Are they supposed to be round? If not, How do they go back in? Flat side down, up, I don't know. I apologize for not explaining this properly. I was just hoping someone has seen this before.

  19. Have had my 750 for a whopping 90 hrs. Have put in 2 clutches 2 oil seals and now the key sheared at my rotor generator. Knocking it out of time . These machines are total garbage. I have never mistreated machine mostly drove on flat ground when it’s running. I am conctacting BBB we should get together and start a lawsuit over these hunks of junk
  20. I put a new wet clutch in my 16 challenger and when I got everything together and start it the belt is spinning in neutral is that normal if not what could be my problem
  21. When I’m reverse and under power like if backing up a steep hill, it hesitates like fuel is intermittently spitting gas, goes in and out and has no power. It must be a fuel problem? What would cause it to pulse fuel in reverse only ?
  22. I purchased my 2018 Cub Cadet 750 Challenger new in July 2019 and it will not go into 4 wheel drive. Has this ever happened to anyone or do you have any idea as to what could be wrong?
  23. Just purchased a 2017, 750 challenger with 148 hours with one hour on new 2019 engine from Cub Cadet that per invoice cost $4704.28 + tax. That’s almost half of what the whole UTV cost new in 2017. Unbelievable! I have serviced everything as per manual and done the things posts on forum said to do to reduce noise. Has old exhaust and per this forum will probably break soon. Just ordered a new rear window to cut down on dust and air. Plan on taking to cabin we have near Custer SD in Black Hills with US Forestry roads all around us. Should be fun if reasonably reliable.
  24. Just joined this forum. I am a new owner of a used 2016 Cub Cadet Challenger 750 Crew. I bought it from a friend's wife after my friend suddenly passed away this Summer. We hadn't run it much since when he passed in July and I used it to do some light plowing on my driveway last month and a handful of times during hunting season. Then, we got blasted with bitter cold and 2 feet of snow last week and it wouldn't start. I assumed the battery was low (from JUN 2018) and put another lawn and garden battery on I had which was relatively new and unused. It runs a plow and a front and rear LED light too. It started right up with the new battery, but when my wife plowed with it for 10-15 minutes, it ran dead. It has 250 CCA (the previous one had 350 CCA). Not knowing any better, I jumped it with my car running and let that charge it for 1/2 hour but got the same thing....a few swipes with the plow and it was dead again. I left it on the charger overnight, hoping that will give it a full charge and that will take care of the problem but I don't want to find out it doesn't work when another storm comes. Should I get a new battery? What do you guys recommend that will run the motor, the plow and the extra lights and do you charge it often during cold weather? Wish my friend was around to ask him what he did but he's gone and I'm new at this. Thanks!
