I believe they have some sort of rev limiter on them.... you might want to read on this other thread,  if all else fails, contact Strike250 member, he knows a lot about these machines.

Hey there, new member here, just looking for information and tips. I just purchased a Hisun strike 250 for my young son. We have taken it to elsinore mx park here in so cal and he had a blast. I know I am going to get a lot of feedback regarding this, but I have to tell you, for the money, and his age, I can't complain. It always starts, is a blast to ride, and yes, I can fit in it at 6.1 and 195lbs. Have we had any issues? sure, but about the same about as any other vehicle, so I can't really complain. We couldnt find any aftermarket parts for it, so we engineered our own 2 inch lift kit for it, and it worked great. We have mounted additional lights on it as well. Some of the things we did notice are that the shift linkage seemed to be rubbing the exhaust pipe, and so I modified the shift linkage, and now that problem is gone. I also noticed that the factory plastic is very brittle, meaning it will crack if not handled properly. The quality of the OEM nuts and bolts are very poor, they seem to strip out very easy. So, we are replacing what ever bolt we remove, with a higher quality version. The battery is not easy to access, and in a pinch, that could be a problem, as tools are required to get to the battery. If you were to need a jump out in the boonies, you might be stuck. Also, the factory 4 point harness is hard to adjust, so we might have to replace them with aftermarket versions. Aside from that, he has not really had any problems with it. Granted it is not a larger 500 or 900cc UTV, so the load and demands on it are less. I do wish it had more power, but since he's only 9, I am good for now lol. It never quit on us, ran great in 106 degree heat, and handled the muddy track with ease. Another plus, it fits in the back of my truck bed with the tailgate up lol. Just my 2 cents.

Ownership's manual says to change transmission oil every 400 hours. For the life of me I can't locate the drain / fill plug, or even the transmission.   TIA for any help.

I have a 2018 Massimo MSU 500. I have looked everywhere for performance parts and all I have been able to find is the dyno bost module and a K&N air filter. does anyone know of any other parts out there or interchangeable parts from other makes or models?

So I started out with the 2013 Odes Dominator 800. Had a full realm of issues incl.the cytrifical clutch blowing out and clipping my leg while simply driving it down to my mailbox.Traded it in fall 2018 with a cracked trans.case. Bought the 2018 ODES Zeus. Within a month the touchscreen wouldn't work. Shop 3x. Then engine oil coolant hose blew. Stayed in Playing Around MotorSports in Conroe Tx for almost a month. Approx 1mo.later the power steering motor went out. In shop for 6wks. Mind you this isn't just for pleasure. It's used for all Ranch purposes.  New motor only lasted about a month. Then it Sat for a bit. Alas the New motor came in.  It was bad straight out of the box. Brought it back home until the 3rd motor comes in. 6 months now and still waiting! Can still operate w/I power steering. So i am literally on my way home from Wolf Pen Gap in Mena ,AR. Where we go riding in the mountains on the trails. So, my handicap wife and I get to the peak of a mountain, put it in park and the engine dies.  I'm a diesel mechanic of almost 40 yrs of exp. Working on anything from a pressure washer to a big rig. Back to the saga. The bike won't start. All elec.is dead. Cooled it down for a while. Started checking for issues. Nothing worked. Called dealership mechanics. Was going through the gamut of things to try. Nothing. My wife mentioned smelling burning plastic earlier but smell had stopped. Well, started checking other issues. During this time,my wife found fresh bear  tracks. We were miles away from anything or anyone. Well, Found It! The wiring harness burned up and shorted out the bike. Thankfully I was able to rig it enough to get us off the mountain and back to cabin. All the money spent on fuel, cabin rental, groceries, time off work, arrangements made to have someone care for the farm, the list goes on,  to go out of state for the single purpose of our anuall trip. Half a day and the trip was ruined. Will be calling the bank ,dealership and a lawyer in the morning to deal with all the mess. Not playing around with people. Going straight to Tx.Lemon Law, BBB,

Looking at getting another sxs, I was thinking about a used 2013/2014 rzr but then starting checking out the 2018/2019 odes x4 1000 but doesn't seem to be much info on them as far as reliability or overall quality.  Any have any good/bad experience with the newer x4s?
