update to my problem. i found the fuse box. it was in battery compartment under driver seat, its got front and back waterproof covers, front one wasnt seated properly, full of mud and water. corosion starting. took it out blasted with hose, set out in sun all day to bake moisture out, then blasted it with WD. properly in stalled covers, smeared a little red rtv around the seems. hit the pin connectors with WD also. it didnt solve my problem, but im sure it prevented a near future problem. next im gonna  look were throttle cable ties in. stay tuned. TIC.

well i went through all the pin conecters at the intake/throttle body. everything looked ok. then made it to the ecu controller, pin conectors full of mud and water. 2pins on the ecu green corrotion at the base, bearly touched with tooth pick, they broke off. just ordered new one, from motorcycle doctor. i have to say after speaking to owner on  the phone , i dont feel like im alone in this anymore. really great guy. stay tuned. TIC.

Sounds like you might've found the problem. Either way, you obviously need to make sure that doesn't happen again. Was it a gasket failure? Or bad design? Or both?

i'd probably wrap the connectors up tight with electrical tape after install, but be sure they fix your problem first... where  are they located on the machine?

Hey folks. I recently acquired a pre-owned Hisun 500, carburated. And surprise... it has issues.
When cold, it typically starts without any issues, but once it warms up it tends to sputter and stall out. When accelerating, you can also feel it hesitating occasionally, and when you stop or put her into reverse, she will often stall.  The fuel is clean, I installed a new fuel filter, and the air filter is clean. Though the fuel pump appears to be working ok, it makes a strange knocking sound whenever power is put to it.  I've never heard anything like it, and I'm not sure if its shot or just a cheap Chinese pump thing. I have an aftermarket pump coming, and I've ordered a new ignition coil as well on the off chance that it is faulty. I am hoping replacing these two parts will solve the issue,  and if it does I will post the results here.
If not, anyone have any other ideas?  Also, I've noticed it is very difficult to find parts for this make... any suggestions on a good source for Hisun parts? I appreciate any comments or insights.

Hi new to the Joyner trooper family just purchased a 2008 trooper, however the speedometer , coolant temp and voltmeter are not working I was hoping it was a continuity or ground issue but the copper is testing good, it appears the voltmeter is bad as my fluke works off the plug-in behind the gauge, tested the water temp sensor have 5 volts arriving, and approximately 3000 ohms on sensor cold no idea what I should get. As far as the speedometer have no idea how to test again copper seems to have good continuity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Dwight
