“OFFICIAL UTV†OF BEST IN THE DESERT
Official UTVCasey Folks, Director of Best in the Desert, announced that Yamaha-Motor Corp USA has been named as the “Official UTV†(Utility Terrain Vehicle) of the Best in the Desert series. Folks made the announcement today, following last weekend’s record-breaking TSCO “Vegas to Reno†event, which attracted more than 320 cars, trucks, motorcycles, and UTVs. -
YOSHIMURA TO SPONSOR WORCS PRO RACER DOUG EICHNER
Chino, CA – September 4, 2007 Yoshimura R&D of America has announced a mid-year sponsorship agreement with veteran ATV racer, Doug Eichner. Eichner is currently racing in the WORCS and ITP QuadCross series on the new Polaris 525 Outlaw.

Whether it was the woods out back, a grassy field or a nearby creek, every day presented a different adventure and a chance to find something new. That sense of exploration grew into an addiction. Now we seize an opportunity wherever we can find it, and there’s nothing that gives us that feeling like exploring a new area on our ATV. Around each curve on dusty two-track, over each rock-strewn hill and across each wildflower-covered meadow is a chance to find something we've never seen before, and we plunge into each opportunity as if it was a cool, blue pond on a still, sweltering summer day. -

These shows also provide dealers with seminars on such things as updating their electronic inventory systems, financing and warranty management and how to increase sales of their products. Dealers are also able to place orders for new models directly from the event. The ATV press is also invited to these events, which we look forward to as a great opportunity to get feedback from dealers all over the country on how the product they sell is satisfying (or not satisfying) their customers. -

Upper Midwest Riders are Raising Funds for American Cancer Society

Cruise ControlThe ‘SpeedSafe’ is a new option for our ‘QuadCruise’ electronic cruise control for both ATV’s and UTV’s. The ‘SpeedSafe’ speed limiter may be added to an existing ‘QuadCruise’ installation* or fitted as a stand alone speed limiter without the ‘QuadCruise’ cruise control. A ‘QuadCruise’ cruise control may also be fitted after the speed limiter is fitted, using most of the parts already supplied with the speed limiter.

The Teixeira Racing desert race team, Ed Teixeira and Todd Hunter, took 1st place in the Quad Expert class, and 3rd Quad overall in the Best in the Desert “Vegas to Reno†race on August 24, 2007. The race started in Las Vegas, NV and ended 567 miles away in Reno, NV. This is the longest off-road race in the USA. It took the Teixeira team 12 hours and 28 minutes to complete this brutal race!
