Mine starts and idles great but will not rev over 2300 RPM and then spits and backfires. Now after reading your solution I'm wondering if I have a speed sensor problem. I have changed everthing and been turning wrenches for 65 years but it's got me beat. took to the only one I could find in the Reno, NV area that would even work on it and even after he did an upper end still no change. Haven't even tried to drive it because of the way it running. Bought it cheap because the other rancher was at a loss also.
