Thanks for the information. It is a Chinese turbo and I will continue to run a restrictor, hopefully I can manufacture a new one as they use an odd fitting that is not pipe or JIC.

I purchased a 2009 T2 that was already turbo charged. WHile repairing some bad workmanship on the welds for the exhaust manifold I noticed there is a home made resrticted fitting on the pressure side oil feed for the turbo. Is this normal? It looks really small ( they used a carb jet) for the speed this turbo spins and I beleive it needs to be removed but wanted to check and see if anyone has the same thing. Thanks for any insite you can give me.
