i have about 928 miles on mine but the spedo hasn't worked in 2 years .
so your guess is as good as mine as to how many miles are on this thing .
i am heading for bc this weekend to torture it some more.

Does anyone know of a interchange for the Commando 2006 Head Light bulbs. I have emailed Silver Bullet and am waiting for there response but some of you are pretty savy in finding other stuff that works. Also the ones that are in it are 35/35 watt, can i replace these with 45/45 watt. Also any ideas on new headlight lenses.
i have replaced the stock bulbs for kc day lighters bulbs they are 10 bucks for 130 watt. the only thing you will have to do is rewire your lights on the roll bar.
the nice thing about these they are great for night riding . with all 6 lights on the person in front of you will be able to catch a tan at 20 feet out and also not have to worry
about being cold
kc does sell lower wattage bulbs but i am one of those guys that think " go big or go home"
i also had to separate the lights into pairs with relays. the factory switches just cant handle the amp draw
i also purchased kc clear lense covers for all these bad boys the fit right onto the trooper lights

i ordered 8 130 watt light bulbs for my unit and slapped them in.
not a good idea at first .
i melted the fuses right to the fusebox
i had to run 4 separate relays and install a fuse box just for the lights .
i was in my trooper at night and being able to see half a mile with ease , i jumped into a rino with factory lights and it was scarry doin 65 at nightin that thing
we were barely able to see 50 feet or so .
with my lights night diving is fun. i had a lad in front of me on a quad and he could feel the heat on the his back about 50 to 75 feet in front of me .
i have factory housings on the roof with kc 130 watt bulbs i moved my lower head lights under the hood next to the winch .
they are now kc titaniums, since i ripped one off when they were up high
the cost of the ice blue bulbs were about 10$ a piece
the fuse box was 3$ from scrap yard
the relays are 30 amp and are 6$ a piece
well worth the price

i was traveling down the road at about 4500 rpm and i lost oil pressure.
and she over heated real fast . pulled over and found i had lots of oil.
it wasn't burnt . i run royal purple
after i had let her cool off all was fine
any ideas on what would cause this problem?

i had a electrical problem with mine
found that the conectors under the ecu were full of green death and a couple of weather shields had pulled out .
with further inspection the a couple of wires had coroded apart .
i just removed all those conectors and shrinked wrapped them
-
did some welding on mine extended flairs out 7" past side and put a step on the side to reach the roof.
front plastic is gone

moved front head lights underneath next to winch slapped on checker plate on the front and roof .
removed air shocks on rear deck and replace with heavy cloth bungy straps from a safety harness

i just ripped out my front cv joints on the front end .
there are no retainer rings on the hub end which is strange
there were rings on the diff end
i also found 2 different size bearings in the same cv joint
so i have ordered both front axles which may take a while

are there any jambories in canada planned

where is the speed sensor on a trooper
and how do you test?
the nearest dealer is 4+ hours away

a friend was having a powerloss problem with the same symptoms. we changed out the fuel filter dumped injector cleaner into her .
and changed out the bad fuel. found that the fuelpump was being starved. something had jelled up in the filter

i have a new problem. my alt will not charge unless i induce 12volts to the white wire briefely . with the engine running before i induce power she reads 2.78 volts
after i induce voltage she jumps to 14 volts .
i changed out the alt. thinking the voltage reg was cooked . that didn't solve the problem
any ideas on what the problem might be .
also my spedo doesn't work, when she does the diagnostic it stokes but does not read speed at all

in my opinion foa shocks piss poor
i wont put them on my trooper
they are sitting in the corner here
service is non existant cant phone anyone
-
in my opinion foa shocks are not worth the hassle service is piss poor . no phone number
it takes for ever to receive them ,just over a month
when they did show up the heim joint was way to small 12mm stock is 15mm
finish is low end while it is in the lathe they could run some sand paper over them
i was reading a post on a site and it seemed that they have a high emp, turn over
i will not put this junk on my trooper
