It sounds like you are having a problem with the wheel bearings on your Kawasaki Mule 4010 diesel 4x4. This is a relatively common problem with these vehicles, and there are a few possible causes:

  • The wheel bearings are not being installed properly. This is the most common cause of wheel bearing failure. If the bearings are not installed properly, they will not be able to support the weight of the vehicle and they will eventually fail.
  • The wheel bearings are defective. This is less common, but it is possible that the wheel bearings you have been using are defective. If the bearings are defective, they will not last very long and they will need to be replaced.
  • The wheel bearings are being damaged by something else. It is also possible that the wheel bearings are being damaged by something else, such as rocks or debris.       Got it running. The 4wd gets 12v power but does not engage. The posi traction (rear end) does not engage also.  Any one have experience / ideas on fixing these items?

      "R" light will not go out when the UVT is in any other gear. Is this an issue?

      My "R" light on the dash will not go out when I take the UTV out of reverse and put it into any other gear. Is this just the light switch issue or will this effect engine performance in the other gears?

      2013 UT 500 won't go into reverse.

      At the end of last year my Coleman UT 500 will not go into reverse. I can hold it over toward the reverse to move it nut it won't lock into reverse. Anyone have this problem? Winter is just about over and going to have to get this resolved. Thank You!
