  1. Nice Offroad rig.
  2. Turn out that the shifter bushing is bad. It allows a lot of slop in the shifter in all directions. Plus it wont allow the shifter shaft to rotate when you move the shifter left and right. Part number: d650.05.02.02.02 #9 on the picture.
  3. So on this 2005 Joyner 800, the transmission doesn't shift very well. Doesn't really like to go into gears very easily. Not because the shifter wont move into the gear, but because the gears are hard to find. Reverse is the worst. Sometimes it wont go into reverse, and just wants to go into 4th instead. Also, if you stall the engine, and then put it into reverse - the engine wont turn over while it in reverse. It just clicks as thought the trans is locked up. So you take it out of reverse and then it will start and then you can push it back into reverse while its running. I'm thinking that there are worn bearings in the trans. Thoughts? How do I verify the worn bearings, and then how do I fix it? I don't want to just start taking things apart without knowing what I'm after. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the info. I will try using an ignition bypass box today to see if that helps.
  5. So it s a 2005 Joyner 800 CC (3 cylinder). Starts and idles great. Sitting in neutral, it revs up nice as long and you dont stomp the throttle too quickly, then it will sputter as it climbs RPMs but cleans up and fires on all 3. Starting off in first, you have to get the RPMS up pretty high and then slowly let the clutch out. If you release the clutch too quickly, it BLAH and loses RPMS and dies, almost like it has no flywheel wight at all. Sp you kinda have to ride the clutch a bit to get her going, ESPECIALLY uphill. Once up to speed, it does fine and sounds good. But if you are in the lower RPM range and lower speeds (1st) or (2nd) gear, you have to slowly accelerate. If you stop the throttle, its like someone turned the key off - it just stops firing on all cylinders instantly, then begins to accelerate, then the cylinders kick back in and it takes off pretty good. Stomping the gas makes the accelerator pump spray pretty good, and applying the choke doesn't help - so I don't think its running lean at WOT. Almost seems like a timing problem or something, like of the timing was WAY off. What I tried: Random timing settings, by hand. Adjusting the timing to spec. Replaced carb Blocked off vacuum advance, then switch back to OEM. Checked plugs. Fresh fuel. New fuel filter. Checked air filter. Checked charging system. Checked for / fixed vacuum leaks. Checked distributor cap and rotor. Should I try adjusting the air screw on the carb?? I would be open to any ideas. Thanks.
  6. I need 2012 RZR 900 engine parts - Whole engine or just the individual parts. Head, crank, gasket kits, pistons, jugs etc. Anyone get any parts or motors to sell?
  7. So here is what I wound up with...... 2012 RZR 900 EFI. (Needs engine repair). 2005 Joyner 650 Sand Spider. (Good condition). Clean titles on both.
  8. So I recently acquired a 2005 Joyner Sand Spider 650. I have a few questions - I see no timing marks on the crank pulley at all. And nothing on the block. How am I supposed to time this thing? The manual says 6 degree +/- 2 @ 900RPM, but thats all it says. No pics or info on where the timing marks are. Also, I seem to have a timing belt, not a timing chain. Is that normal?
  9. No input whatsoever about what TO buy? OK... Any input on what NOT to buy?
  10. $109,000? He is probably in more danger from his wife than he is from the car.
  11. 2023 Maverick X3 X MR Turbo RR Thoughts on this one? Maverick X3 X MR Turbo RR 64 top features Snorkeled engine air intake and CVT 30 in. ITP Cryptid tires Front bumper, half-doors 4,500 lb (2,041kg) winch with synthetic rope
  12. So I'm interested in a side by side of some sort. Not sure what make/model to even look at. I would plan on riding on trails with very rough rocky terrain and plenty of mud. Maybe sand once in a long while. I like LOTS of power and drive fast, but also like a trail that is a challenge to get through. I think 4x4 would be a must. I like the idea of a supercharged engine, but I have never owned one, and would be a little concerned about long term reliability or expensive difficult engine repairs. If anyone knows quads, my favorite was the 2008 Polaris Outlaw 525 IRS. For dirt bikes, I raced a 2008 KTM 450 SX-F. So that gives you an idea of what type of off road stuff I liked. I don't like "utility quads" or "trail bikes". And likewise, I dont want a turd UTV. I want something that looks awesome and performs awesome. 2 seater with some cargo capacity at the minimum. Thoughts?
