  1. Has anyone ever had in issue with gear oil seeping into (drivers side particularly) inner Cv joint? I had this issue for some time now and originally noticed oil slinging out of Cv boot so I hose clamped it and continued on. But now I'm replacing boots and upon removal the entire joint was full of oil! I couldn't get the axle off the spline shaft so I just removed the Cv from the cup and found from what i can tell a thin piece of metal that was eaten up but may have originally been isolation between spline and outer CV. Not sure how I'm going to patch that up seems like replacement would be the RIGHT way but maybe a little sealant will get me going.
  2. Hello all. Just bought a 2006 Joyner 650 SAND VIPER and have been going through it quite a bit. Have a hard time finding parts for it so I've been going with a lot of universal parts including the trailing arm bushings I'm swapping out for 1.5" poly bushings with sleeves. Original bushings did not have inner sleeves which is terrible design flaw. I am also having trouble with the oil warn light coming on after replacing oil and driving it a week it intermittently pops up. No pressure gauge but I have one on order. What type of oil do yall run I put 10-40 in it but heard 15-30 is recommended by manufacture? Also in need of rear wheel bearings but the part compatibility list stickied in the forums suggests part numbers for sand spider however the viper is similar frame to the 800 series with the trailing arm style suspension in the rear. I will dismantle the hub this weekend to take some measurements just seeing what general knowledge is out there. Thank you
