Hey, can anybody explain how the coolant light works? Is it just a bi-metal stripe closing the connection to ground when a special temperature is reached and let the light glow? Or has it any other effect on parts like the fan or cdi/ecu? Thanks in advance

And the sensor looked different too. Has anybody this problem, too? Plus i can´t find the counter part plug for the sensor, maybe i´m blind? Where is it located? Thanks in advance!
