  1. I'm taking to a a supplier who has a single unit that outputs 51.5v and 105ah (https://lithiumgolf.com.au/products/amplus-series-51-2v105ah) for around $3500.

There is also a 150ah version available.  For these units they claim up to 500ah max discharge for 10 seconds, but i would probably need 250-300ah for 60 seconds to get up the hill to our house. I'm still struggling to get my head around one large Lithium being able to replace x8 AGM's, but is this possible? I know there will be an almost 200kg (around 450lbs) weight saving which is very substantial, but can this battery really have the same output as x8 260ah batteries

  2. Hey - do you have any pics of the installation? There are two EAGL kits - which one did you buy he 120ah or 60ah?

How did you get to the 2080ah of the original batteries?

So are you still happy with it all - my main issue is getting up steep hills where we live, not range. The Discoveries are getting to two years old and are struggling with anything but a full charge and cold weather really saps them.

    Cheers.

  3. Took off the small cover on charger and cables look ok and were all tight.
however, decided to add another pos cable to bypass current pos cable from charger to battery as a test before I dismantled for warranty testing/return and it worked, now charging and no fault.
The Pos/Neg charger cables seem too small a gauge for the current (3-4mm?) going through them.  I’m going to upgrade the charging harness to 6mm to stop overheating and cable breakdown.
Thanks for your advice. Are you Hisun EV support or independent?

  4. 'E013 - Charger Output Current NotAccepted - Battery voltage is detected but the charger is unable to output current. This is normally caused by an electrical device connected between the charger and the battery which passes through voltage but not current.  Poor connections can also cause this.  Ensure the charger is properly connected to approved equipment. This error will automatically clear once the charger is reset by cycling DC or AC'.

  5. Just bought a new Hisun E1. From the minute i drove it off the barge (we live in an island) it had a loud 'creaking' noise from the rear, and a clanking and vibration from the front. The noise at the front sounds and feels like a CV or UJ has gone. All shafts and joints are solid and seem to be greased, as are mounts for gearbox and diffs. The vehicle sounds like an old steam train going down the road - worse going down hills but no real difference turning or 2WD, 4WD or diff lock on. Noises increase/decrease with speed of vehicle, so definatley  drive-train related, not just something loose. Oddly, all noises go in reverse.

Real pain in the backside to get to dealer as will cost about $1500 just to get it there and back again. Anybody experienced these issues or similar on an E1 or any other Hisun?

    Cheers.
