  1. I have a 2008 R2 800 that I can’t get get running. I have replaced coils, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, fuel lines, pressure regulator and injectors. When this started, I could get it to run good for a little while and it would then start “sputtering” and die. Let it “rest” a few minutes and it would go again. The good kept getting shorter and the bad longer ‘til, now, won’t start. Unless it is the ECU or a sensor, I’m at a loss. Getting fire, compression seems to be good. I can pull an injector and turn it over and see fuel. I’m tired of chasing it. Great vehicle for what I need. Is there a replacement engine (and electronics) that will bolt to the Joyner transaxle (or any suggestions on finding and fixing the one I have)? I think I read where an older Civic engine was swapped into, I think, a Trooper.
  2. I got the $32 set and it fired right up. Took it for a 5+ mile ride in my neighborhood with no issues. Took it out today on a bit more demanding ride and had some issues with "sputtering" and it was hard to crank a couple of times. Certainly better than it was but still not where I would like it to be.
  3. My trusty R2 has finally decided it time for some TLC. Probably my fault since I let some gasoline get pretty rancid and the fuel lines get pretty bad. I think I need new injectors but am having trouble finding them. Throwing this out to see if anyone else has had any luck. What I know: They are Siemens Deka 5WY2404A. In a conversation with the Joyner USA folks today I was told the Gator 825I uses the same Chery engine (my local John Deere dealer says it's not the exact same but the injectors are...). He had a set of 3 in stock for almost $500. I actually found some on Amazon from companies I've never heard of for from $32 to $90 for the set. I little leery of these. My question... have any of you replaced injectors? if you have, where did you find them and how much did they cosy? Thanks.
  4. I have an ‘08 (I think) R2 800 with similar symptoms. Mine started sputtering while riding until it cut off. Wait a few minutes and it would start. Progressed until it wouldn’t start. Drug it out of the woods and got it home. Pulled spark plug. Getting fire but it was weak (yellow spark rather than blue). Plugs wet so presume getting fuel. Installed new plugs while I waited on new coils. Had recently replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and fuel lines. Fuel pressure steady between 80 and 90 psi. Pulled fuel line and it pumps a steady stream (filled a quart jar pretty quickly). After checking all the wires (didn’t unplug and clean) it cranked but I wouldn’t call it “running”. Removed muffler and catalytic converter. Let it sit over night. Wouldn’t start the next morning. Frustrated, let it sit until the next day. Next day it cranked but wouldn’t get above a rough idle. Received and installed the coils. Cranked and ran, sorta’. Removed the catalyst from the converter and reinstalled it and the muffler. Would crank but back to the rough slow idle only. Called JoynerUSA folks. They suggested resetting the ECM. Did that and it ran better than it had in a while…. for a few minutes. Back to cranking but not much more than a rough idle. I bought this buggy new and it has done all I have ever asked. Would really like to get to run and regain my confidence in it. Any thoughts / suggestions would be greatly appreciated
