  1. Ok… one more thing.  I will add a couple pics in the event you want to make your own windows to add to a set of half doors.

my windows operate independently of the doors.  But I only run the windows in bad or extremely cold weather.   So I want them off probably 60-70% of the time.

I think the steel tubing is like 3/8” … around there ( solid steel).  Heat up the steel to bend to your shape.  Weld up, add some gussets for strength.  Cost about $500 for upholstery.

found the door latch on Amazon. It’s a Fork Lift door latch system an actually recently added to the windows.  Made them several years ago, but the last latch system wasn’t very sturdy.  This is way better.

There are two hinges per window frame.  I have them set up to lift off   Small posts stay on the UTV, other side is welded to window frame

let me know if I can help with anything else.

It is a 2012 sxs, 2 seater. 570cc. There is a decal on the box that states ranger/rzr.

Ok, interesting…. So I went and looked again.  I STAND CORRECTED…..see link below:

    https://www.everythingpolarisrzr.com/polaris-rzr/polaris-rzr-accessories.html?mz.eprzr_2seater=2012 RZR 570

in 2012, they only list a Ranger in 500

BUT, under RZR, they list a 2012 RZR 570.  You must have a ‘RZR’ not a Ranger?   Now I am guessing, based off the details you’ve sent me.

look at the photo I added this time.  This is what I found on-line.  A stock photo… it’s a 2012 RZR 570.  Maybe they called those a Ranger/RZR?  But part wise, look it up as a RZR 570, if yours matches the photo

on the every thing Polaris web site, I’m only seeing very little options for that year.

Hope this helps…. Only other suggestions is to make a frame yourself and have a shop Upholster them.

    Good afternoon.
im in the market for doors for my ranger/ rzr sxs. I’m finding lower doors, but what I’d really want is full doors so I don’t have to unzip when exiting. I have a hardtop if it makes any difference. Anyone?

2012 570….must be a Ranger?   There is no such thing as a Ranger/RZR.

is your 570 a full size or mid size Ranger?  Also, you sure it’s a 2012?  I am only seeing both a mid sized Ranger and full sized Ranger 570 started in the year 2014.

so, to answer your question, go to this site to look up your stuff, when you actually know what year, make and model you actually own….best of luck:

    https://www.everythingpolarisranger.com/?mz.epr_midsize=2014 Ranger 570&mz.epr_fullsize=2014 Ranger 570

BTW, I have a 2013 Ranger 900XP, Full Size.   I am using Dragon half doors, used round steel stock to make window frames and paid a ulpostry shop to skin the frames.  Windows easily come off for spring/summer use.

  4. And another thing….

your buddy may run into trouble only when he uses 4x4 with different diameter tires.  Just like a regular vehicle.   If he’s in dirt where everything can spin at it’s own speed, it may survive, but I wouldn’t risk it.  These things cost too much

    best wishes

  5. You are correct Grub.

Same diameter is what is critical!   Width is personal preference.  A lot of working UTVs come narrower in the front. Most sport UTVs are coming all same width, typically all 4 would be the more narrower width.

  6. Obviously, if there is a loose or bad wire/connection somewhere, it can be repaired.    But, chasing those electrical gremlins can be a royal pain.  It does make it easier when you have mechanical skills and know where to look.  If you decide to dive in, make sure to get a good deal!   Best of luck.

  7. I have a 2013 Polaris Ranger 900, which I’ve owed since I bought it off the show room floor.

I’ve never had an issue with it stalling after washing it or riding it through water.  However, I would say I’ve never had it in deeper water than about 16-18” deep.  I have not fully submerged mine and never plan too.  Also it’s been garaged kept it’s entire life other than when I am out abusing it.

I also have an aftermarket clutch, programmer, Elka 5.0 fully adjustable shocks, and drive it like I stole it.   I take care of it, but I really do drive it hard.  My main UTV buddies both have turbo RzR’s 1000.   I want mine for play and to use around the property and for hunting.

I would be careful on the one with a stalling issue.   None of ours stall out after getting wet.

    just my 2 cents …

  8. I’ve heard they can stick.  Usually more so in winter.   But not likely your issue.

Have you checked your valve clearance?   That will make hard starting in winter, but potentially make any vehicle run wrong.

My Ranger 900 was recommended at 200 hrs and/or 2000 miles.   I checked them at 250 hrs and had 2 of the 8 valves barely out of spec.   Hard to start, little rough idle and would occasionally die when at idle but would go down trails fine once on the gas.   Once back in spec, runs perfect, starts perfectly and idles great again.

sorry, started to talk about fuel pump   But you changed it, so I removed that comment

check your valves?  How many hours, miles?

just throwing out some ideas.  Hope they help.

I'm a big round guy. 5ft8in and 365 lbs. I drive full size vehicles because I HAVE to, otherwise the seat doesn't go back far enough for my belly to clear the steering wheel. Yeah, I'm a big fat tick. Part of the reason I'm this way is because 3 years ago I was in a bad wreck with a big rig and I broke my neck and broke my back. Not only did I survive, but amazingly, I wasn't paralyzed. I was in the hospital for a great deal of time to recover and to learn to walk again,...but not very far, or stand for very long. I'm still essentially disabled, but with the ability to walk a little bit. As a result, I get no exercise, and unless I carefully watch what I eat, I have gotten this large.

So just this week, my attorneys and I finally came to an out-of-court settlement with the trucking company's insurance, and in 30 days I'll have my money. I used to really enjoy the outdoors, but I'll never be able to go hiking or just enjoy a simple nature walk anymore due my injuries. The closest I'll ever come is being able to cruise around on wheels. I already have a 99' Polaris Sportsman quad, and I can ride it real slow and careful. But I'm worried it might not be the right choice for me now, and I'm thinking about getting something I sit in like a UTV. However, most of these look like I won't fit behind the wheel, nor are they easy to step into for someone as limited in mobility as I now am.

So the advice I'm looking for has nothing to do with how capable a particular model is, how much ground clearance or how fast,...my first and most important criteria is how roomy is one vs. another and can I even get in the damned thing? I don't care if it's a product no longer produced or if it only just came out this year. Whichever UTV past or present that allows for the biggest fat fool behind the wheel is what I'm interested to know. I'm sure some of you fellas out there must be big like me and can tell me your experiences with different UTVs.

Hey man…. Sorry to hear about your accident, glad you have recovered enough to get back into the outdoors.

    I would suggest two things:

    1) Go to a dealer and sit in as many as possible.   More likely you will want a ‘utility’ UTV.  #1, they will be easier to get in and out of since most have big door openings….#2, most utility UTV’s are meant to carry a decent load, so you wouldn’t have an issue with a friend or spouse to ride along.

    2) Start with a Honda Pioneer 1000.  Father-in-law has one and it’s pretty roomy, rides really nice and has plenty of power.  A good quality UTV will also have a tilt wheel and adjustable seat.

Hope this helps you out.   Best of Luck!

I have a 2014 Polaris ranger 900 xp. What fold down windshield are you using and what is the durability of it. And where would I  find it.  Thanks

I know this is an old thread...but anyways, I have a 2013 Ranger 900.  I use a Full poly windshield for winter, early spring and late fall.  I run a half poly windshield for late spring, summer, early fall.   They are both directly from Polaris.  So they are quick and easy to change, with their "Quick" release latches.  Just options...

thanks, this is good looking stuff. Just thinking but i want to try the come along option as i can use the come along for other applications as opposed to an attached winch. My guess the heavy duty straps might be better for come along without stretch

I know this is an old thread...but OK, good luck!  I have used my $250.00, 4000lb winch numerous times out on the trail and EVERY time I plow my drive way.   I would install a winch, period.  And the winch has been installed since 2014, no issues other than a new rope and I use a strap on the winch in winter for the snow plow.

Hi, I’ve recently purchased an Ag Pro 1200 to find that it doesn’t have engine breaking. I live on a very steep property and it feels dangerous not having it. Does anyone know if it can be added? Or any other ideas? I’m mostly using it for weed spraying using a hand held wand… so I need to creep along stopping and starting. Thanks for helping.

Look into a DURACLUTCH system.  Don't know if they have one for your model, but maybe they could make one?  Great system, works amazing on my Ranger 900.

Hi, can I jump in here? I’ve recently purchased an AG-PRO 1200 diesel and I’m so disappointed that it doesn’t have engine breaking. My property is really steep and it feels dangerous not having it. My question is can it be added? Or is there another solution?

Look into a "DuraClutch."  I added this to a Polaris Ranger 900 and the clutch system (yes, still a belt system with inner clutch) will engage right away even without throttle and give you immediate engine braking one of the best investments I have added to my rig.
