Hi everyone, I am new to the site and I have one question. My tilt steering wheel is locked in the upper position, and I was hoping for someone could help me with the problem. I did spray some WD 40 in the area of the mechanism but still wheel is locked in the upper most position. I am willing to try anything to get the wheel free and move to a lower position. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!! and Be Safe!
Ran fine parked it in garage and 5 days later would not start or make any noise trying to start. Bought new battery, installed it and still nothing, no noise or anything.
Any idea? I can’t figure it out since when I parked it, it was running great.
Thanks
Question for the audience, does anyone know the differences in the hs400 and hs500 primary belt clutche and the wet clutch? I have been told the 500 and up engines use a clutch that is interchangeable with yahmahas, but the 400s have a different part number as far as I can find. Is this maybe just different weights in the clutch? Also does anyone know what the factory weights are? Went for a ride in my 400 this week and looking to see if I can get a little more out of her as far as holding higher rpms and maybe getting a bit more aggressive clutch engagement sooner.
When going downhill in high gear, after about 5 to 10 seconds of coasting, the trans comes out of high gear and the engine freewheels. Once I slow down enough on level ground the gears start to grind and re-engage into high. Also get grinding if I try to accelerate before I slow down. Originally, I had noticed it would not always engage low gear every time. Cable has been adjusted about 1/8" now and low gear engagement has not been a problem, SO FAR. Still goes into park, reverse, neutral, high and low without issue. The coasting concern has not seemed to change. Old guy, no hair left to pull out. Anybody have some techy info for me?
