Sharing some havoc/stampede current problem or issues im facing...
I have a Stampede 900 that was running but was making a knocking noise. Decided to risk it and Changed it to the havoc 1000cc engine. It is a direct fit as previously stated. Compared all the parts and everything, with the exception of pistons and cranks, are exactly the same. Even the reluctor ring is exactly the same one. Put both back to back and there is absolutely no difference at all. Yes I had to tear both engines apart to try and make one that'll work. I did look for havoc ecu to try and make it a bolt on swap but had no luck finding one. Had to do everything mentioned above instead. With all this being said...
The havoc motor will start and run. It will rev up really nicely too! My issue is that it will not stay on when iddling. It will shut off if I let go of the gas. No backfires or symptoms of being out of time either. Replaced all new sensors with the original ones. Still no difference. Do guys think its definitely just a computer problem? Where can I get one! I desperately need help.
