I, Buggiedude, aka Niles Treman have re-opened my home based business, Treman Powersports Repair and Performance in Gilbert Az. I am now doing this full time and am looking forward to hearing from you guys that need a good Mechanic at a fair price.

No Job Too Big or Too Small

I have recently been contacted by a Chinese parts supplier, is there enough of a demand for me to jump back into this? I have requested an availability list from them and will keep you all posted?

I understand that they relocated Phoenix....near PBO Auto Sales....I do not have any information other than that.

On a somewhat related note, I am now working full time at 1st Kick Motorsports in Chandler....

Correction to my post...Railroad Tracks and Washes are on the East Side and Ghecko Road is on the West Side....

When I say Campsites I mean places that YOU can Park and Camp...nothing designated....No Power and No Water....you MUST come completely prepared....or with lots of $$$$ for the Glamis Store and Vendor Row just West of the Store...lol

Whips/Flags are MANDATORY for everything....

The permits are something I cannot comment on as I have not been to Glamis a few years....however, to answer the "CARB" approved question....yes the Trooper and ALL Team Joyner USA models are/were EPA and CARB approved....

Camp sites are everywhere....but I personally like the "Washes" next to the Railroad Tracks on the West side of the Dunes south of the Glamis Store...anywhere south of Wash 7, Than there is Ghecko Road on the East side of the Dunes...I have only camped over there once....but it has Restrooms preiodically along the road and so on....the Washes are STRAIGHT UP camping or RVing...

Riding south to the 8 or to Butter Cup is possible yes....it is a nice 30-40 miles....

Kinarfi is correct. The gears can be run in both directioins but are designed to run in one particular direction. The gears will run quieter in the correct direction. We have all noticed how some vehicles will whine when run in reverse. That can be from the reverse gears in the transmission being straight cut or the differential running opposit its design direction. Even though the differential would probably run a long time in reverse, I have to beleive it will run longer going forward.

Actually...that is the point for running it "upside down"...we flipped one over in the warehouse on the shelf to make sure....same direction "if" it is run upside down.

I have spoken to the Owner about it and does not like taking anything Chinese....But I am oly working part time at the moment.....and am still working out of my Garage....I charge $50.00 an hour labor. I think I set a record....I got let go around 1:00 PM....was at home eating some "top ramen" lol...got a call from a guy....had another job making 2 more dollars an hour by 2:30 PM...wrenching at an independant shop...hahahaha

1-Approx 400-500lbs lighter...using various modifications

2-Relocate the Radiator to the Front

3-New Storage opening in front of the Box under the seats

4-Acheive 14-16 inches of Travel in the Front and Rear

5-Lowering the cage

6-Stripper Pole attachment

7-Disco Light

We are going after the 1000cc and larger UTV/ROV market with the Trooper....

Other Things being discussed......

1100cc Renegade 2 and 4 Seater

400cc-500cc Sand Viper

I hate lifting the driver seat up to access the storage area under the driver seat on trooper so i was wondering if anyone had made that tray into a drawer sliding tray instead or something else easier to access?

That is exactly what we are discussing for the redesign of the Trooper....we don't like it either....specially now that it is "bolted" in place.

I just got an crazy idea lol but i was wondering if i could get that piece that's between the front differential and front driveshaft that makes the trooper 2wd and put it on rear differential..maybe whole another front differential case if it have special boss for that piece but anyways i want to know if i can use that piece to make rear disconnect so i can have only front drive like dig unit on atlas transfer case and such as?

Those are found in crawler and all kind of trail trucks

That being said....

In theory yes....use a Front Diff flipped upside down in the rear....Drill a NEW drain plug...clock the cover 90 degrees to get the vent tube on top....shorten the rear drive shaft....and run another cable to operate the rear engagement.

ALSO...this will add a lot more stress to the FRONT drive shaft in those cases when only using front wheel drive so beefing up the U-Joints might also be in order....

Also, I am one of the few that like the wet clutch design. It allows for more finess in the rocks & saves the drivetrain..

Wet Clutch??? Who is using a wet clutch...they are ALL CV these days??? except us that is....

It creates a balance between wheel spin and digging too much....keep in mind that is for duning....not climbing the big hills.

We have the rear in Blue....and the front in Black....or you can have both in black if that suits you as well.

Yes it do...so best fix for Bruce would be the later open one?

Any idea why change from locked to open on those?

Yes...however, we are out of stock at the moment.

The reason was simply due to the Failure Rate and the fact that the Viper PUSHED thru corners real BAD. Not to mention customer complaints about it being hard to push around.

Reading on different websites I haven't found a sxs that has 100% reliability.

LOL Good luck with that search....the day they build a 100% SXS is the day we no longer need spare parts.....

The Trooper and Viper have the same Motor and Trans...Yes...BUT The Trooper uses a SOLID OUTPUT shaft, it drives both front and rear drive shafts while the Differentials do the locking and unlocking. The OLD Viper used to have a SOLID OUTPUT Shaft, but now has an OPEN OUTPUT shaft, and YES they are interchangeable. The seperation comes where the operation happens....the Viper Trans drives the Axles directly....the Trooper Trans drives the Differentials which drive the Axles....I hope this makes sense....lol

There were SOOO many changes that first couple of years that it is really hard to say.....but yes the Rear Drive shaft was changed from U-Joint to CV as well, the brakes were the BIG change because that is what made the 14's Standard equip.

What brand are the tires? I am a little worried about going too aggressive and overloading the engine.

When you say 12" wheels fit "early" troopers, how early we talking? 09'?

I believe first batch of trooper early like rocmoc had.....08 i believe 150 of Trooper was called early ones

Noc, you are correct, that was one of the 08/09 mid year changes....8" discs OLD to 10" discs NEW/CURRENT...remember the first Troopers would NOT stop...lol

Lenny, you are correct in that the OLD Trooper had smaller discs....but I am being informed that there is an excisting 12" rim with enough offset to mount to the NEW Troopers....If this is the case...than a STOCK Trooper should do just fine.
