Motorcycle Doctor May have it

Thanks Greg. Good point. Local Tractor Supply carries the Hisun filters, so that’s what I use. I’ll have to look for the concave on them.

Hi. I believe the issue is the filter gasket. If I’m not mistaken these need a round gasket that comes in the Chinese (Hisun etc) filters, where many other oil filters have gaskets are flat and they leak.

Motorcycle Dr. May have them too

Thanks Tejun. Is there a flow direction arrow on it? Coleman sent me one, but there not direction indicated on it.
-
Fully agree. Complete stop before you change range.
Tejun: could you refresh us on where and what model fuel filter you bought?
thanks again -
Doc IV
I’ve been told that running it below 25 mph in high range is harder on the wet clutch, and will cause early failure, running it faster in high range is fine. I don’t know if it’s true, but a friend ran his HIsun 700 in only high range, and burned up his wet clutch in 100 hours. Motor Cycle Doctor says it has to do with a combination of low oil fill, and running it in high range. So far following that advice, mine runs fine. Most of my use is under 25 Mph, When I intend go faster, I put it in high range.

I feel the same way. Is it the gold standard? No…. Is it Made in .China, yes …. But sadly, so is my TV, cell phone, boots, etc…. I’d prefer to buy USA. I bought a much more expensive name brand UTV several years before this one. Then I needed to order all the extras like a roof, windshield, cvt guards, belly plate, mirrors, turn signals etc…. And it was in the shop 7 of the first 12 months. I’m hoping this Coleman lasts, so I try not to abuse it, or torture test it… so far, zero days in the shop, after several years. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. I can’t care for the noise level, and wish it was a multi cylinder. I run it mostly in low range, per the advice I’ve been given about the clutch. If I need to move out, it’s simple to change to high range. With the price point I’m more than happy. (So far). 😀

I just got ad from our local Powersport Dealer.. NEW 2022 HONDA PIONEER 520 SXS ... $9599 in red and moss .... I wish they had those when I wasted my money on Massimo . They show 42 UTVs and 71 ATVs in stock
Where is the dealership? I might be interested in one, thank you -

Linhai engine vs. the Hisun engine, don't see why that makes much difference as far as customer support. I personally have not had a problem with the actual engine itself, it's how these parts interface with each other (quality control). If you don't properly torque bolts, install seals wrong, don't install fuel filters, have poor wiring connectors, don't adjust shift linkage right, use junk lubricates, leave air in the cooling system, don't have a good clear maintenance manual, etc, etc, you are going to have issues and you better have a good customer support group.
I agree! Mine didn’t come with a fuel filter, some things were loose, manual showed different versions, from mine. But, over all, so far, I’m generally happy with it.

For what’s it’s worth my Coleman has run fine for 2 years. It’s a Hisun with the Coleman labeling. I’ve called Coleman several times. They answered, don’t know much, but they answered. Warranty is over this month, so maybe it will fall apart in March. I keep it inside, I use it, but do not abuse it.

Have you thought about a rear bed mounted rear bench seat? Works great for us, keeps overall length of UTV reasonable.

Thanks Bill. I’ll check it. Thank you very much

Welcome Ed! Lots of good people, who are friendly and helpful on this site. Enjoy your machine

Thanks Brent. I checked the website, and I’m out of luck! 😀

Thanks Brent. Good idea, sadly there aren’t any Hi Sun dealers that I know in my area. Several local shops don’t want to work on Hi.sun products, as they only want to work on the big name brands,

Thanks !

Thanks Tejun. My fuel line has what appears to be a a flexible aluminum outer shroud, around the inter, what I believe to be a rubber/synthetic fuel line. I can take a photo tomorrow and show you.
-
Thanks! Did you use the aluminum or just replaced the fuel line?

It’s disappointing to me. I have the service manual. No photo, no part number,. I think there a sock on the in tank fuel filter. Thanks T Boss 410

welcome home Nypto. I don’t know where big bend is but it sounds like you have a nice place. My 550 Coleman has really helped me get around. Had it almost three years, and it runs fine. I don’t intentionally run it in mud, and over junk. I’m getting too old for that. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do mine.
