  1. Thank-you St. Anthony!!! I'd been searching the property for several days, looking for the lost cross bar that is critical to mounting the snow plow & had just gone to a welding shop to have them fabricate a new one, based on the pictures & rough measurements, when I finally found the missing part - it was in my garden. I was able to get to the welding shop before they closed & cancel the order - I now have all the pieces to re-mount the snow plow. three days ago, I asked St. Anthony for assistance in finding the missing part. Our property is about 13 acres & it could have been anywhere. I looked in all the likely places that we normally drive the UTV - and today, my dog was wandering around the front field, looking for a place to poop. I figured I'd take advantage of the time & look around the field - but to no avail. Then, I went over by the garden & noticed that the big hummingbird garden ornament w/ solar light was in shambles, as if it had been run over. I picked it up & was untangling it, when i happened to look across the garden & saw the metal control arm (it's about 2 feet long). I made sure to thank St. Anthony - now I'm back in business for the next big snow storm that is supposed to hit in about a week. I'm still open to a new plow option - but for now, I'm golden.
  2. I have a similar issue with my LM500 - apparently, the shifting is tied to the idle speed. Mine won't come out of gear into neutral or reverse unless i cut the key for a second - just before it dies, i turn it back on. That seems to be just enough to allow the shifter to slide into neutral. While it's not optimal, I've learned to use this method to make shifting much easier. When i stop, I can't just put it into neutral, as it is often still in forward, even though the shifter is in the neutral position. I cut the key off & let it almost die - and you can feel the shifter drop into neutral - then i turn the key back on & hit the gas to be certain I'm in neutral - otherwise, it won't start again, until I manipulate the shifter to get it into neutral. I'm sure there is likely an adjustment I could make, but this method works fine for me & doesn't cost me a visit to the mechanic (which by the way - if I'd known how few & far between the dealers are, I likely would have bought something more mainstream. The LM500 was discontinued - even though mine is a 2015 model (so I was told). I got it for $500 a few years back & it had many upgrades (windshield, dump bed, roof, lights, mud flaps, winch, plow It's been a good vehicle, but I had to put a new carburetor on it last summer. After that, it runs great.
  3. I have an American Landmaster LM500 with an old style snow plow hook-up. Unfortunately, the mounting bracket broke & I lost the key part where the plow receiver connects to the cross bar with two pins. I checked with customer service & they said... I believe they are sold as a kit though and they are not cheap, part # 15329. I’ve included a photo below since the web store does not have a photo for that part. https://americanlandmaster.com/search/results?keywords=15329 I checked with our parts department and neither the kit or the components are available as that was the older style hook up system. The only option at this point would to have something manufactured. All of our current plows are either dual actuated or winch hookup so we would only have components for those models as of currently. In the picture, below, it would be item #5 (the one with the two mounting brackets that hold the pins that the plow mount latches onto) - not the top one in the picture, but the one below t hat. I have all the other parts - but the missing part is critical to mounting the plow. Does anyone happen to have an old one they could part with - or have an alternative solution? The rig wasn't optimal, as you had to use the winch to raise & lower the blade & manually adjust the angle. It kept falling off when I was plowing snow - as the pins that hold it in only have a groove for a pin clip & they would often get knocked off & then the plow would hang down & you'd loose the pin - then it would get all messed up. Thanks in advance for any advice. I am thinking of going to a welding shop to see if they can create something - but it will still have the same limitations as before - the pins are highly specific and not cheap 15331 Pin, Shear Univ Mount Blade PART #: 15331
