  1. DON'T BUY A MASSIMO! The quality is soooo bad! I have a 2021 550 TBoss new when inventory of the decent brands was at rock bottom. I paid new what used decent brands were selling for. I quickly learned why. The quality is soooo bad. Out of the gate I had to make numerous adjustments to get it to run, drive and operate smoothly. Couldn't tow anything because the hitch receiver snapped off, the cheap plastic guards in front of the suspension parts broke off in no time, flooring cracked after a bit of use, windshield is now un clear and unusable after cleaning a couple of times (yes, I was extremely gentle), And all of the above and more on a machine I barely use (very low miles)

I would love to sell it and buy a good one some day but I don't think anyone would buy it.

Listen to all of the advice above and stay away from this brand!

  2. Last winter I did something similar. I was motoring through some brush when a branch drove through the passenger side floor panel popping out a chuck of the black plastic floor just where the passenger would have put their feet if they were with me. I was able to salvage the piece and glue it back with a product called, "Permatex Black Plastic Welder Epoxy" I also patched it over on the outside with a layer of  drywall tape saturated with this epoxy. It is still together as if I patched it together yesterday.

  3. Thank you for the response TapBoss. Funny that you mentioned JB Weld, I watched a dozen Youtube videos on it this weekend and went out to buy some yesterday. The crack is on the top so hopefully this patch will keep me going for quite awhile. It kinda looks like there was a crack in the manufacturing die; not sure if this thing is forged or cast but it is a long crack and parts of it protrude outward

  4. I have a 2021 Massimo T-Boss 550 which now has a crack in the rear gearcase. A few weeks ago during my usual fluid checks I noticed that the gear oil was very low and there was an oil film on the outside of the case on the side where the plug is. I topped up and cleaned it up. I assumed the the bolt was not sealing properly so I ran it as usual and same thing again and again. So then I was thinking that maybe I need a new washer or something. I cleaned the outside of the casing and was about to top up the oil when low and behold.......I noticed a crack across the top right side. OMG, this thing is only a year old. Any ideas out there on how this would happen and most importantly....how can I fix it?

Any advice would be appreciated because as we all know on this forum it is hard to get shops to work on these wonderful machines. And if I need parts, wish me the best of luck.

It has done this since day one that we purchased it from Tractor Supply. I contacted the service man that Tractor Supply recommended and he told us that there wasn't anything he do to help us with. Has anyone had this same problem and can offer suggestion on to correct this issue ? It would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2021 Massimo T-Boss 550. I had the same problems. When I did my first oil change, I replaced the filter and filled with a good quality synthetic oil specifically for wet clutch and put in just a tiny bit extra over the full mark and I noticed a huge improvement. ALSO- VERY IMPORTANT... always let the engine warm up and build up pressure before putting into gear. On cold start up I always start up and soon as I get in the barn, get off, open the barn door and take a little time to hop back on. I find with this machine I have to handle it with kid gloves or I fear it with break apart. Among other many problems, the Trailer Hitch Receiver snapped after a few uses. When I took a good look at it I was disgusted on how thin the metal is holding it in place; any thinner it would be called tin foil.  My buddy is a welder and when he looked at it (to repair it) he couldn't stop laughing. He had to weld an additional  1/4" steel plate underneath to secure it.

  6. I have been looking at the different pull-behind implements for UTV/ATVs and am looking for advice/reviews on which ones to purchase. I already have a 44" Swisher Trail Cutter and a 60" Massimo Snow Thrower. The Trail Cutter is great, just wish I had the 60" one and the snow thrower is OK; I have to drive really slow with it or it will bog down. I have 14 Acres of over grown pasture land that was originally used for cattle and then horses. Over the past 20 years it has been neglected and is overgrown with weeds and bushes. I have a local farmer that is willing to rejuvenate  about 10 acres and start planting simple crops like hay, corn or soy. The other 4 acres I want to pretty up with lawns and trees but the land is rough. I have been looking at compact tractors as well, but am getting sticker shock just looking. I am new to this so I am not sure what equipment to purchase. Any experience and/or ideas out there?

  7. I think the best thing to do if you already own one of these junk Chinese machines other than driving it off a cliff or into the pond is to stock up on tools and service manuals and start learning how to repair them; and if a situation arises that parts need replacing hopefully a better quality one fits. Youtube home mechanics and forums like this are also a great help.

    Good luck to us all

  8. I purchased a Massimo  last November and have had issues since then. The winch that came with it broke after 2 uses and I am still having issues putting it in gear. The flooring also cracked during a tour of my property one day and now I have a hole in the floor on the passenger side.

I think the money I saved initially on this machine was quickly lost to the horrible quality. I wish I did a lot more research and I regret not waiting to purchase a reputable brand; even if I had to spend more money.

In retrospect, if I had a choice, I would pick the Honda in a heart beat

    Good luck.

I wish I had paid the $4K more for the Honda Pioneer.. I would have saved money after 6 times in the repair shop that Massimo refused to pay for .. 1st time, it was 1 day old when it broke in its 1st mile .. I even tried to trade it in at a big loss.. HONDA would not take it and it was brand new with ...haha warranty..haha

Not sure about your area but check the private for sale used market. Maybe there is no inventory out there and you can try to recoup most of your money by reselling it.

  10. Hey Joy, if this is true there is a serious logistics problems in these companies. I searched last summer and fall and no dealers had any inventory of quality brand utvs, but they did have some atvs. To get a utv I would have had to pre order for sometime this year..

Oh, about the truckers, it's about time someone stood up against our communist state. I don't think it is helping though, they need to oust the leaders for any change to happen; ship Biden and Trudeau to a secluded island together. They need to be on opposite sides of the island though to keep that social distance, especially since both Justin and his wife have and have had COVID.

  11. I agree with you 100%. Actually the country north of you is even worse. We have a communist lover Prime Minister who's father was also a communist lover Prime Minister.  If you are ever really bored at night  with absolutely nothing else to do research the Trudeaus and there links to the communist leaders of the world. It's scary, and just think, throughout history Canada has just been a puppet for it's much larger neighbour to the south, the US. What does that tell us. The US presidents have been lip locked to the CCP leaders for decades, starting no later than with Nixon who was suckered in by Mao until finally Clinton pushed to get China into the WTO. China and their CCP who have absolutely NO respect for human life, animal life, the environment, other countries or anything for that matter. Now how stupid was that?!!! All of us Western Countries! My biggest question for a long time has been, why have democratic countries cow-towed to this country for all this time? Are our politicians being paid off? Are they pressured by big Corp? Or a combination? The US and it's government absolutely despises Cuba and North Korea and has for a long time; but then they kiss China's ass every chance they get, they send all of our jobs over there, let them steal everyone else's ideas and let them get away with whatever they want while they over-regulate companies and people at home. I don't understand, Cuba and North Korea are small potatoes. China has always been the only threat.  Unfortunately most of the population here and there are what I call "Sheeple".  I hear it from my wife all the time which really upsets me, "but everything is so cheap from China, I don't want that to change" AAHHH! I try my best to vote the right people in but am always outnumbered by the Sheeple.

I just want to hide out on my farm and hopefully get a chance to retire in peace before big brother knocks on my door and tells me that I have to keep my religion to myself, tell me I can't  speak my mind anymore, that I am being watched and tracked where ever I go, every time I buy something they are keeping track, when I deposit a certain amount of money into my bank they are going to interrogate me on where I got it, and when a new vaccine comes out I have no choice but to take it or I will be ostracized and lose my ability to enjoy rights I previously had.

OMG...TOO LATE! Communism is here already. Hey look at the bright side, if communism is here maybe they will bring the jobs back.

Oh, BTW Bill, hope this helps with your first oil change :)

  12. Thanks for clarifying this for us.

Oh I see, so to save money, rather than Yamaha scrapping out all of their out of spec and reject parts they ship them to Linhai who then sends them to Massimo in Texas (and previously Bennchie) to use them up in their machines. So there is no accountability on the part of Yamaha which also explains why everyone complains vehemently about the tech support on these machines; kind of like machines from the island of misfit toys.

  13. I am looking for the same thing for my T-Boss 550F. I have been looking at a lot of products online; the best coatings need a lot of prep work and the cheaper ones have horrible reviews. I think the rubber mat idea is the best so far. It is fairly inexpensive and easy to remove and replace if unsatisfactory.  The coatings are very labour intensive and are very difficult to recover from.
