  1. Just came in from my shop, the stock shocks have 4 1/2 of stroke, the new fox's have 8 1/2. I have to ad a limit spacer around the shaft to knock it down to 7 1/2 " of stroke. I have ended up with 14 " of travel in the back. the trailing arm needs to be dimpiled and the weld smothed when you are in full compresion to keep from rubbing the axle. Like i said before i have 300 over 600s in the back. I could not resit, i baught another set of shocks for the front to day. I am going to run 300 over 400s on the front. Shocks are around $200 apiece, I got one set for 189 apiece and the other set today for 175. Springs are around $75 apiece and it is two per shock. You could probably get 15" of travel, i just don't want to push my luck pulling the axle out. Don,t forget i have lowered the back diff so it is leting the wheels drop futher with out binding the cv's

I really have no knowledge about shocks..... which is bad... so sorry for the same repeated retardedness i keep asking. My uncle could modify the shocks to fit the trooper. I just can't get a fox guy that knows anything about them...which is sad cause they should be able to tell you what will fit on the your vehicle. Does anyone know a fox rep i could possible talk to that knows about them? We really want to put the fox shox on the t2 but even with giving this guy every possible measurement i can think of I get no response with something that will fit. Thanks guys

  2. Detbohica, a T4 with a hard top enclosure and canvas doors with a roof/gun rack is on it's way to me as we speak. NZ gets bucket loads of rain and the T4 will be used for Transporting elders on Maori land and for hunting. I would think just the roof rack for you in Mexico would be all you need.

MegZ, I have just picked up two Trooper canvas enclosures that I have had modified and she's good as gold. I changed my mind from my last post concerning the upgrades after I took the T2 for a blast with the stock enclosure on. What I've had done is added eyelets for the sill instead of Velcro, a zip for the front screen with tie downs and Marine hardware to secure the lower Firewall and rear lower panel ends. I was going to go the whole hog ,with making it easy to take off and put on but now my thinking is just leave it on. I will post photos tomorrow (my daughter borrowed my Camera) and it's fair to say,"this is the way to go". The upgrade cost was nz$225 for two enclosures.

    Cheers Mike.

ohh.. sounds AWESOME!!!! From the sounds of it we could probably do that here... I cant wait to see it!

woo Jaylen is up at at it this morning giving her mommy some great kicks... I knew she was gonna be a soccer player like her mom! lol

  3. I have some pictures like that of my grand son, he is due in january at the end of the month. My son is 6' and his wife is 5' so i am currious how this is going to work out. you must be very excited, very prety name

I am so excited... im 33 weeks and im just impatient now... lol Im not worried about it being long im worried about it having a big fat head like her father! by look of her cheeks she is gonna be a chunky monkey!!! lol or she is squeezed in there too tight... Prob. both.. :) Im due beginning of jan

  4. Now there is a coincidence! My granddaughter's name is Chevelle, she is 4 years old now.

I didn't think it was a great idea at the time but that name has really grown on me.

Her father builds and races Chevelles.

Here she is in here Halloween costume.

She is def. beautiful like a chevelle! My father and I built a 70 chevelle when i was younger and its still my fav. It just sounds so beautiful! and I really tried for that name it...no one else thought it was a good idea except me... lol

  5. We just had our trooper out with two rzr s' They are both a good machines. The rzr's are more costly...but the trooper did come right up and the rzr's butt when climbing behind. From what i hear they are both bad ass machines and really cant say one is better. I hope they have video footage and I will post it. and just cause it has a Chinese engine means its not even looked at... haha that is bs. really Just because these are in the lead with others is why they are trying to not to put the name out anymore than it is. If you are gonna trash talk other utv's go back to riding arizona to do it... we were happy in here

  6. When ordering shocks you have to know the pivot points on the suspension, un suspended weight, what the shock ratio is holdong up the car on the arm. there are also some other stuff to consider. I amgoing to try and mount something this week-end. let you know how it works.

Im really trying with this guy...but if he doesnt help me soon im gonna call for someone else.. Im pretty sure he now has all the information he needs... but let me know how yours work out for ya! thanks Meg

  7. still trying to get time to weigh the trooper, noticed in the shoot out that they said the trooper weighed in at around 1800 lbs, dam this thing needs to go on a diet. I am thinking of running a 400 ontop of a 550 for the spring rates on the rear corners. Do not want to go much bigger on the springs or they will be to much for the shocks, Probably go up to 600, do not think i would go any higher than that. Let you know what i end up doing.

The weight of a t2 is 1729lbs. I have been talking to this guy at fox to get some shox and he sends me measurements and is like will this work and I sent him all the dimensions for all the different shocks that are on the troopers and said i need you to tell me. I have no idea!!!! I need him to tell me what i need.. lol Does anyone know a fox rep that knows anything about a Joyner?

  8. MegZ that was me and yeah I had I had a wrinkles right in front of the driver. I've just come back from a day bush bashing in the Trooper on a forestry road that would not of seen a vehicle in years and I mean years. I videoed the good parts but I'm unsure if I can download it here. The good news MegZ is wind seems to sort it out and as I tow the Joyners on a open trailer, that helped big time. When I 1st saw the front screens my thoughts where probably the same as you uncles, wrinkles and bad vision, but she's all sweet and pretty much sorts it self out as your driving and towing. Any info on posting videos here would be appreciated.

    Cheers Mike.

Thanks hun! I told him. For the money you really cant go wrong with these canvas enclosure. We have to put the doors on our trooper out there and I will have some pictures for everyone. Well im 8 months now and she basically has no more room in there... lol really... we are at the stage now where she is just filling in space... ahhh so i will hopefully have this little monster soon!:) Im READY BY FAR! Thanks for the pics... Jerry wanted to see them

  9. Sorry can't help, have not had one off. Haven't heard of anyone having a problem with the front shocks.

    rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

We just want to trick this one out:) We havent had any problems with shocks at all. We just want the fox shox on there cause it will make it even better than it already is:)

  10. I can related to being a old grouch! My ribs are almost completely healed but the knee and wrist are still giving me heck. We just got the quad back from the shop and I'm begging my hubby to let me ride. Hes not to keen on it right now and every time he's been going to let me go out in the T4 the weather has been really windy. One outing in three months isn't very good (LOL) when you're use to riding every week-end! I know that hes really worried that I'm not ready yet but you know how it is I miss my quad like heck!

That little girl will be here before you know it! I can't wait to see pictures! Take care of yourself and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

    Cinda

    Cinda

I am 31 weeks...hopefully only have a month left.. i am ready for her to be here now~~~ being pregnant is very torturous when you work 6 days a week... Next time I do this I will be making sure I only have to work until like 7 months cause right now im wanting to kill some people... :) lol anyways enough of me being a preg. grouch how are you?

  12. Well I started this post a few days ago thinking the boards would light up. My first surprise was "it didn't". Bugger. My second surprise knocked me off my computer chair because of what was said, who said it and the timing for this particular post. So what was said and by who. Well it was an article in the latest Side X Side Mag about a UTV Buyer's Guide and what did they say; "The Trooper is the ultimate sport UTV on the market today". For the full article here is the link http://www.sidexsideaction.com/digital19/ You may have to full out a info form for SXS first before the link opens and of more interest to me, there was also a very good write-up about a head to head comparison between a Joyner Renegade and a John Deere Gator. If the link wont open for you here is what they said concerning the T2."The Trooper is the ultimate sport UTV on the market today. Its 86hp, 4-cylinder EFI engine and top speed of 65 MPH pushes this UTV above, over and beyond the most unbelievable terrain known to man. The larger (98") wheelbase is matched with a swing-arm suspension to provide a higher level of stability and comfort. The 13" ground clearance and 12" travel makes the Trooper T2 a true force to be reckoned with!" I am a Joyner person and I was never going to promote another brand but it's fair to say I'm rapped with this particular article and personally I believe the T2 will be in the top 3 UTVs for 2009. I say top three because of the unknown that lies ahead with new models to be released.[/b];)

    Cheers Mike

Look at page 42 for the T4 they have a misprint... they are talking about some other vehicle and its price is not 13999 is 12999 msrp..tisk tisk Side by side

We are going to get a black matte top, and they are installing a computer chip in it!! bringing the hp from 86 to 108!!!!!! How bad do you think that is going to be!!!!

  15. shock guy called today. 23.35 " long 2.0 shocks with 8" of stroke with springs, These are fox shocks @ 285.00 apiece. I was very busy when he called, but i think these have 2 springs per shock
