Future improvements for Iplex to consider for Joyner UTV Models.

This is for owners of a Trooper, Renegade & Commando 2 & 4 Seater UTVs to express in their view, an improvement on current models for the next model to be released. Not so much for problem areas that have been discussed elsewhere.

To get the ball rolling.

On all UTVs, improve the quality of the hardware used.

On a C2,C4,R2 and R4 add a rubber flares to the front guards.

On a T2 & T4 add rubber mud guards to front & rear. On new models with round drain holes on floor boards, add rubber bungs to stop dust, sand and water entering the cab.

On UTV accessories, align the fairlead on the winch for correct feed onto drum. Increase spot light bulbs to 100w. Upgrade canvas enclosures to a PVC enclosure.

I see all of the above as small inexpensive upgrades to improve quality and comfort.

Kinarfi, feel free to change the way this should be formatted. For example as suggestions come in, add them to a heading.

Cheers Mike.

Going to a better and tighter steering rack and pinion. I went to a higher quality 3:1 ratio box ( old is about 2:1 ) and it was much much easier without any inability to turn quick enough for fast tight trails.

Increase suspension travel to what is claimed in the literature. Stock Trooper has only about 7-3/4" in front and about 9-1/2" in the rear. If they want to be a serious player in the UTV market it should be at least 12" front and rear with adjustable/tunable/rebuildable shocks .

Better seat belts that adjust easier and don't loose their adjustment while riding.

Cut the weight down or at least provide a 1600cc option, preferably both.

Better utilize space under drivers seat for storage.

Make low gear lower. It's only good for slow tight or knarly stuff anyway. Lower would make it better for rock crawling and be easier on the clutch.

Go to 7000 series aircraft quality 1/8" aluminum under plate and secure with bolts that screw into anchored threaded tabs. This aluminum is much stronger and stiffer than currently used and not that much more expensive.

Actively eliminate rattles, they are everywhere. All the other UTV's I've ridden in didn't rattle at all.

Go to a 30" tire on 15" rims. 15" rims provide a broader tire selection. Tires should also do well in a variety of off road conditions and sand dunes. Current tires are worthless in the sand dunes.

While I agree with most of these upgrades, maintaining a good price point and leaving some add-on accessories/upgrades would also be a good idea.

I think I will reserve my ideas until I see what they release. A.

Just received delivery of a 2024 AMP Pro.  Thought I'd start a thread with my impressions as I use it and learn more.  There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of real-world usage information out there on this model.  Hope this will help others as they research.
      Intended Use Cases
Fire mitigation / slash removal from a 5 acre forested and well-gamble-oaked property.  The previous owners thought as much about fire mitigation as I do about fashion: not much. Snow removal Stump pulling General hauling (rock, lumber, etc.) Weimaraner energy depletion.  Wasn't an original use case, but a nice added bonus.  Experiences So Far
Wasn't impressed that two of the bumpers on the underside of the bed where it sits upon the frame were missing.  The metal on metal contact has damaged the powder coating and the frame.  I expect a little better QC.
I've only put a few hours on it, so not a ton to report on usage.  It isn't quiet; it's silent.  I can't even detect an electric note from the motor. I removed (and subsequently replaced) the motor cover noticed that the motor is German and made by Schambuller.  The motor controller is Italian and made by Dana TM4.  Given the operating specs of both I found on the web, I suspect both are higher quality than the previous Navitas (which is supposed to be decent).  The motor is rated at 25 hp and 71.5 lb-ft of torque.  It feels very powerful.  All the torque is delivered instantly, if desired.
The bed is huge and has an electric dump as standard.  Great feature but would like it to go up a bit more.  Probably not feasible from an engineering perspective, but I want and I need ;).
Power steering is nice, but vague.  Probably common to many UTVs, but I am accustomed to more direct results from input.  Plan early and plan often.
In our first full day of usage, we hauled about 1/2 as much slash as the entire rest of the year when I was doing it by hand cart.  I may get fatter, but I'll also get more done.  After a few days of usage, the battery meter has gone down by 1/10th.
      Until next time...

Looking for a output shaft for a Joyner trooper t2. Went to move the buggy after sitting all winter and it appears the out put shaft that drives the rear wheels broke off inside the transmission so looking for the shaft or a complete transmission if someone has one

My older LM 650 is blowing fuel into the air cleaner.  Any idea on what would cause this?  It is the Suzuki motor.  Not sure what model year it is.
      Thanks

I own a K9 with 50hrs that has been in for repair more than once the farm.  Multitude of issues, trying to file lemon on it but interested in knowing if owners are organizing for a class action suit.  The dealer informs me there are “a lot of owners very unhappy with these”.
      Thanks
