so I ponder how to keep the aesthetics of a 1988 mule 1000 and to take a transverse engine from a fwd car and mount it longitudinally behind the seat but forward of the rear differential so as to have awd/4x4.

current progress on the power pack and drive train; Honda Civic Type R engine and transmission for the power and as for the suspension it will be Independent - I will be skipping right over multi-link suspension and trailing arm.

The main problems I face is cost (as to be expected) ,the finale drive ratios being so high, what differentials to use front and rear, and what suspension would fit.

the main goal is to have a fun road legal vehicle but without killing to much utility the side by side was make for!

I got the fronts adjusted.  I'm trying to raise the ride height in the rear, but my spanner wrench keeps slipping.  Is there an easier better way?  It's like there's too much pressure working against me to be able to twist the height adjusters.  How can I relieve that tension to make them easier to turn?

I had been driving for about 15 minutes, everything fine. All of a sudden the engine was surging, losing power, would run with 1/2 throttle or greater and was backfiring badly. Luckily I was close to home and got it back. The tipoff to me was that I thought I was hearing intake noise. Sure enough, the rubber boot which connects the air cleaner and intake piping to the throttle body came loose. Obviously the computer was confused. It turned out to be an easy fix, but this is now added to my inspection list. Just thought this might help someone else.

I realize this part is discontinued but im trying to find this exhaust pipe fir my dads 550.  His brother who has since passed bought this mule for my dad who is now 90 and he is trying to fix everything on it.  I'm willing to take a used one.  A new one would be great if someone still had in stock.  I'll take anything as long as it is in workable condition.   If anyone has any ideas for me im open to hearing them.  Thank you so much.

I just purchased a 2023 Honda Pioneer a couple of weeks ago and had the hard roof and a front Honda Pioneer windshield installed at the shop before taking ownership. As things are drying up here in NC, the grass and dust are beginning to fly right through the back of the cab while driving. I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on rear windshields, dust panels, or mesh screens to help stop this?
      Thanks a lot!
