Hi there! Glad to be part of the forum. I'm a proud owner of a 2010 mule 4010. Looking forward to gain ideas/tips about the mods you've done to your UTV's.

    • Kawasaki 4010 (Gas) Revs/Puleses at top speed.

Not sure I'm explaining that right. but,.. I'll start with some history.  I bought the 4x4 4010 mule with a bad motor.  I built the engine.  Bottom end up.  Fresh bearings, Pistons, etc.  Cranks up and runs with no issues.  However,.. doesn't seem to run faster than 20 mph and pulses at top speed like something is up with the governor.  It feels like its cutting back.  Climbing and pulling it seems to be fine,. It pulls hard and doesn't cut up.  But on the road flat out  Cuts back/Chugs/pulses/Revs.  Not sure where to start. Kinda tired of thinking about it. Any Ideas? Just a mention, I'm not trying to make it faster, just fixed.  25mph it good by me.  Hell,... for my purposes I'm fine with 20 mph as long as its' running properly.

    • Kawasaki Mule Pro FXR New Owner

Just bought a New FXR yesterday after 2 hours of test driving everything from Polaris, Can-Am, Yamaha, and a Honda I chose a FXR for the smooth ride and comfort. The steering seemed to be the best of all of the units I tried. I picked the silver model, wish there was a camo option, but I'm happy with what I choose. I will be reporting on how this unit handles my 40 acre farm. Everything from hauling fire wood, dead deer, to running trails.  Glad I found this site!

    • Chery engine & Tranny cross over from another forum(http://buggynews.com/portal.php)

Chery Engine Parts Cross by Rusty Nutz Racing » Wed Dec 16, 2009 9:24 pm Maybe this will help all the Joyner owners out, after hours and hours of research I found that the 2007 and older Chery engines are a clone of the ford's Britian CVH (escort) motor such as the 1.1, 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0. The great thing is that even though it was a clone of the Britian Ford CVH motor, they used 90% of the same parts as Ford U.S. CVH motor. The trannys are a VW model gear boxes with Ford bell housing. Least that is what mine is. Like the 650, 800 & 1100 are from a 1.1 to 1.3L VW golf. I have the 2006 1600 Joyner and my tranny is from a 97 VW Jetta. Now I'm not saying everything will bolt right up on the 650, 800 and 1100's you'd have to check that out yourself. But I know a friend that has a 800 Roketa and replaced transmission parts with a 1.3L VW golf. Another friend with a 2007 Joyner 1100 used gears and several other parts from a 1.3L Golf tranny. I have a 97 Jetta tranny that matches perfect to my 1600. I'm currently running a VW Jetta starter on my 1600. I bought several ford escort parts as replacement parts that fit perfect.

Just do some research or pull photos of the VW 1.3L tranny and you can compare what it looks like to what you have. Do the same on the engines. Google photo of the 1.1 or 1.3 and see if they don't look real close to what you have.
I've seen this info before but not on this forum. thought it might be of interest Jeff

    • Wiring Connector providers for Kawasaki Mule 4010

Hey guys, I have a 2012 Kawasaki Mule 4010 Trans Diesel. I need to find replacement for the wiring connector that attaches to the electric assisted steering motor, both male/female. The connector currently comes as part of the larger wiring harness, that is $315+, which absolutely drives me crazy. To spend $300+ for a $4 connector...crazy. Does anyone out there have actual experience finding the connectors for the Mule? I've tried... cheapcycleparts.com newunitedracetech.com motorcyclepartscheap.com cycleterminal.com qualitycycleparts.com The connector looks like a Sumitomo 6189-6953 2-way connector, but the measurements are just slightly different, and it's not in any of Sumitomo's catalogs. There are no part#'s, symbols, or other identifying marks on the connector. I've attached pictures to show what connector I am referring to. I really need to find this and willing to pay a premium for the connectors, just not insanity payment. Thanks be to anyone who can help.
