Need advice on trooper supercharger install

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm getting ready to supercharge my trooper and I'm looking for advice on the setup. So far I have... a AMR500 supercharger, small intercooler, Dolbeck EJK fuel controller and wideband. Looking for any advice on what else I'm going to need and what to expect..Thank you

Thanks! This is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for advice on! Do you know the specs of the one I'll need?  Would it be a 5v 1w? Also from the 1100 service wiring diagram it showed 1 is pressure signal 3 is temperature signal and 4 is ground.. And  the first diagram shows the diode between signal and ground. So I'm guessing the diode  goes between 1&4 and not 1&3 like you Drew on the paper...?

Yes been so long ,5v 1w works ,think your right 1-4 , I also got a field controller from dobeck but I had them max out to 12millisec or the longest pulse available " been couple years hard to remember "
Running a gt15 turbo seems to work fine

Ok cool! Seems I'll be basically replicating something similar to your setup just supercharger instead of Turbo, until I can go megasquirt later like Lenny(hopefullywhen i have more money)!... So if you could run down everything you had to make it work, I'd appreciate it..  Did your dobeck have a  vac/boost line.. Because I've seen ones with it and I have the one without it... Also did you have to go water/meth injection or 100 octane anything like that.. Thanks..

I can not find it on the board, so I'm afraid I'm the only cheapo on the forum.
What is the fuel economy of the Hisun HS590? (I guess it is the same as the HS550)
I count in liter per 100 km, but if you use MPG it's okay with me, but please tell if you use the US or UK MPG!

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

My "R" light on the dash will not go out when I take the UTV out of reverse and put it into any other gear. Is this just the light switch issue or will this effect engine performance in the other gears?

I have a Bennche 700 EFI Bighorn. I’ve recently been unable to get it to start. After a little troubleshooting I realized my fuel pump was not pumping fuel. This weekend I emptied the gas and replaced it with new. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel injector. I also replaced the battery, spark plug and made sure all my fuses and relays were good. I have confirmed that the float on the fuel pump is not obstructed. The UTV is about 12 years old and has less than 100 hours on it. It has not run in over a year.  Not sure whats going on?!? After doing a little reading I'm leaning towards it being an issue with the ECU or perhaps a faulty wire in the wiring harness. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking or what I could be dealing with? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Spent today at a Honda dealership looking at their 520 side by side, then on the way home past our Lowes noticed they had several new UTVs on site, so we U-turned and ducked in there. We were impressed that all that came for $9,999 metal whole length skid plate, nice sized bed, roof, windshield, side mirrors, winch, upgrade looking tires… all of which would have added thousands of dollars to an already expensive Honda 520. Now Honda does have a great reputation from my trusted UTV experienced buddy, so it has that going for it.
