TW450 Throttle Cable TOO SHORT for Predator Upgrade

We bought a used American Landmaster TW450 with a Fuel Injected Kohler 440 on it. Today, I bought a Predator 459cc 15.8hp motor from Harbor Freight. But before we put the new motor in, it's pretty obvious, the stock throttle length is NOT long enough. The stock throttle cable from gas pedal to the end is only 32 inches!
We need at least another 10-12 inches to get to the throttle linkage on the new motor. What can we do??
Is there some way to modify the original throttle to add some length? Or do we have to buy a brand new cable?

You probably need the cable from a TW400, which originally came with the Honda engine that Predator engine is a copy of. I had a TW400, and swapped that engine in a couple times over a 8 years. Rode hard, put away wet. Keep the air filters clean, we usually ended up dusting the engine and no compression.

Here’s the link to the manual:

also, there are several parts that I swapped over from the Honda, like the 10 amp charge coil and the 4 magnet flywheel. I also swapped the intake elbow and air cleaner, and engine wiring harness, since it matched up to the TW400. Not sure how it would work in the TW450.

heres the honda parts I saved in an amazon wishlist years ago, so I would have them if needed. I did not buy from amazon usually, direct from Honda was usually cheapest, FWIW.

Here was mine. Workhorse, pulled that wagon loaded with nasty horse stall shavings and manure, every day for 8 years. Still going when I sold the ranch.

That’s an old Cushman dump trailer from a golf course, paid 200.00 at an auction, added the battery and hydraulic pump and a remote control to operate it.
They were both little tanks, to be honest…

An update:

The throttle cable we bought on Amazon was a perfect replacement with plenty of extra length to ensure we had enough.
We installed it to mark where to cut the housing. Then pulled the cable out of the way to cut the housing only. They pushed the cable back thru and cut that separate. Works great and awesome to have the TW450 back out in the yard!

Runs fine just putting around the yard. Get it out on the road and about a half miles it runs out of gas. Let it idle for a few minutes and it will run for another half mile and do it again. Replaced both fuel pumps and filter. Does anyone know if I can get rid of the factory fuel pump?

I have an Axis 500 and never had any problems until now,it cuts out
at around half throttle. I changed the TPS with no difference, acts like the seatbelts aren't set but can get up to around 15 mph as long as I don't give it too much gas, thanks for any advice

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.

I have a 2011 or so Landmaster LM200.  I cannot get it to start.  I turn the key and nothing happens.  The brake switch seems to be working, the ignition switch works.  The Coil is new the Voltage Regulator is new and the starter relay is new.

I can connect the terminals on the starter relay and it starts right up and runs fine.  I just can't get it to start by turning the key.

I am having a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes, not much fluid comes out at the calipers when I am pumping the brakes, though that an air bubble near the brake switch might make it not sense that the brake pedal is depressed.

I am at a loss, please help!

      Brad
