2015 MSU 500 - Oil problem has me stumped

Just bought a used 2015 MSU 500.  I am in the process of replacing all the fluids and generally going over everything.  I pulled the outer plastic clutch cover off and oil started dripping out.  Oil was everywhere, a huge mess.  I thought for sure I had a bad seal on the clutch or secondary.  So I removed the clutch and secondary CVT so I could get a look at the seals and they both were dry as a bone.  The only two dry spots.  Now I  am stumped.  If oil did not get into the by way of the two shaft seals, how on earth could it have gotten in?

Thanks

Chris

Have you checked out the vent that from the top of the crank case to the air box? Except that is on the left hand side I believe unless they changed it (we have a 2008 hisun 700 utv) but I heard that there used is an air/oil separator there and in our case it was missing/destroyed and that led to oil splashing everywhere. I just connected the two ends of the air tubes without that separator and it works fine. Also on our hisun under that fan cover there is a little timing window that unscrews so maybe that is missing in your case. Just ideas as I heard somewhere that hisun makes the engines for massimo. But it may be a different setup as your pics do not look too familiar to me 🙃

Well I cleaned everything up and and replaced the wet clutch, outer clutch and belt.  I have been driving it around the neighborhood without the outer cover on so I could keep an eye on things and all seems to be good and dry.   I don't see how it could create the mess but one thing that was amiss was the oil filter wasn't even finger tight.

Okay folks. I have a low power issue. Been like this for a few years. Place I work at bought 3 and all have lost most of the pulling power.  They gave them away after local shop worked on one for 3 months and it had great power for about 1 month and then crap. They replaced throttle body, fuel injector, spark plug and IAC motor. Seat belt switches have wires cut and left open so no seat belt warning light anymore. It revs to 6k rpm in neutral but when put in gear and take off in low it just doesn’t seem to want to go anymore. Running 93 octane fuel with Stabil.  Any ideas greatly appreciated. I dont have a scan tool but no codes on dash. If held to floor it pops a little and runs almost 5K rpm but if I let off pedal about an inch it smoothed out and revs up to 6k rpm.

Put a new carb on the 500 to replace the leaking OE one.  Machine idles fine and mid and top end runs great.  It tends to have a hesitation right from the start - bottom end.   Thinking it may be the air/fuel screw??  I didn't do anything with the carb out of the box and is it direct replacement for my machine.  Of interest is the manual choke doesn't seem to work very good now.... wonder is it getting too much air?

      Any help appreciated!

Does the transmission share the crank case oil with the engine or does it have its own oil seperate from the engine?

Just got this kymco 450i Uxv from a guy, drove it around before I paid. Got home drove around town a little while the next day and it started squealing and amd didn’t want to go. Got to looking at the clutch, that’s were the noise is coming from, the primarily sounds like. Maybe a bearing in there cause the grinding noise and it only makes the noise when you go to move.
