2scoops, I like the cams I mostly always going up a hill. And they give it a little more ass. But you need to look into that other intake part it just has a better flow. Like the old corvette motor had the long intake tubes for torque. I just say it's not a hard job IF you let Silver Bullet install them on your head. I had to send mine to Rick. And he done it and send it back to me and it was done right. The first mechanic said he could do it and he bent 4-valves. You will need a fuel controller

And if anybody gets the cams. They should let Silver Bullet install them on your head. So all you have to do is unbolt it and bolt it back on. Cams and the right intake made a big differance.

off subject but did you flip your intake and how did you do it

toddlong. No I didn't flip my intake I bought the bottom part of the intake. All SQR 472 engines comes with this intake on them except the trooper. How I like it I think it's better than the fuel controller. Just bolt it on my motor and it made my A/F gauge go up by .6. If you look at the picture it's fatter than the ones joyner has on it. Here's the part number or my be you can fine a used engine to get the part off of it. It just bolts right on. .DLJ.472-1008013

Looks good. Now you will have a little extra piece of mind. The v bracing is a must if you are using the stock cage. Be sure to send us a pic when you are all done.

2scoops, Thanks yes I will be doing the v up front and a few more things. Yes that's why I done it there are some hills I don't even try because I didn't think the cage would hold up. I'll should have it done by this weekend I'll post more pictures.

Re-drill ant tap a size larger. On the steering box above, 1.5:1 sounds awful fast for the trooper. If I'm right, that would be only about 135 degrees of steering wheel turn from stop to stop. Stock is about 2 turns and its still hard to turn. I had 3 turns from stop to stop on mine and it helped a lot. I don't think the power steering would be enough to push the 1.5:1 box.

Lenny those cams are on the money with the new intake and fuel controller it runs real good the wife said my be to good since I hit the tree. I would like to see some else do the intake I thought it was better than the fuel controller. All 1100cc Chery motors have them on them except the trooper and that were I think is were you lose power at. On my air/fuel gauge it went from 11 when I start it to a 11.6 is what it will read when I start it now.. the part # is 472-1008013

What happened to the old one?

Hit a tree with the front tire blow off the top of the steering box. Dedub has done a subaru steering in he's it drives real nice but it rides even better he added a shock and left the stock one's in. Rides a lot better than mine.

pete42, No your compression looks ok. You said " no high end power " thought might be rings I guess that's all she has.

pete42, I would do a compression test on your motor and see what it reads.
