  1. I got it into teh shop today with the help of my neighbor and my Troy-Bilt lawn tractor. Going too look into whats all messed up. I'll get some pics up and maybe a vid.

Im going to fix her, hopefully I can have it done before winter.

  2. I thought Ruesch went out of business last summer. Let us know if you are able to contact them. I heard this at the UTV Rally last summer at Moab.

There still open. In fact they just launched a new line of jet ski things. 1110 cc,

  3. Yes it will work, but depending on where the alternator regulator picks up it's sensed voltage, which is probably internal, the isolator (assuming it is solid state) will cost you about .7 to 1.2 volt depending on load. Another method would be to use 2 relays that get their pull in power from the the alternator, One heard of one disadvantage to relays and that was when one battery is dead, you start for a short time and turn off, during that time the dead battery sucked most of the life out of the good one. Only heard of this once.

With the recent development of the schottky diode, that would be the way to go. It only has a forward voltage drop of about .3 to .5, very acceptable.

PS, If you want to make your own for around $10, PM me.

http://www.vishay.com/docs/94246/94246.pdf just under $3 each, you'll need 2 and chunk of aluminum to mount them to.

Thanks for all of the info Kinarfi! Once I get ready too do it, I'll let you know. But I got a lot bigger issue to deal with now.

As you can tell with the rest of the list, they will be rock or heavy rock bands.

Google some of them, you will be in for a treat.

  6. I see from your posts that you seem to be happy with Ruesch. Why didn't they take off like the Joyner line? Better marketing? With a unit that produces those kind of hp numbers although not cheap to purchase, I'd think these would sell like popcorn particularly with the 0% down as offered on their web site.

I might have to burn down my Joyner and cross over to the dark side.

    Az Bound

So far, Im happy as a clam with my Ruesch! I love it.

I've been wondering about that, I think it is marketing. I originally was going to spend $10000 on a Rhino, and then spend alot more $$$ to make it like the Ruesch (suspension, wheels, etc.); but then I saw the Ruesch and decided to get one instead of a Rhino.

If you do decied to switch over to the dark side, let us know! It will be nice not to be only other Ruesch owner on here

  7. I not fimiliar with this brand but just happen to come across and ad for a 150hp version with long travel. Seems to me this would be a hot setup. I have a Joyner Trooper now that I love, but something about that 150hp number starts to get my interest. Is this still a viable brand? Are there any dealers or has the recession taken its toll on this company as well?

    Az Bound

I've heard teh 150 version is a beast!

They are still available, in-fact they have launched a line of jet-skies.

The dealer I got mine from left in the middle of the night. I went over to the guy whos the building they were renting owned and apparently they skipped out on 3 months rent; but that doesn't surprise me they never made any money there. Back to topic, go to www.ruesch.com and click the contact dealer button and see if there are any near you.

  8. Welcome back. Riding lawn mower batteries are great. That is what I use in my race cars. Watch the silicon, may breakdown from the gas and leak.

    rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Thanks! The battery works great! I wish I would have used these kinds of batteries when I was racing.

The silicone is Loctight Gas and Oil resistant adhesive.

  9. Sorry that I havent been around much. Been really busy with work and other projects.

I'll start out with what happened in November. On the gas tank, there is a pick-up for the fuel delivery and the return, and the nipple that the delivery hooks too busted because of the cold (I think). Been searching for months to find a replacement or one that would work with it. Finlay decided to fix it with some parts from my local Napa. I got 5/16" fuel line connectors and drilled out and put that in a put some silicon around it. Better than new!

Then, my battery crapped out on me, went every were that sells battery's within 20 mile radius and couldnt find anything! Then I found a big riding lawn mower battery for $36 at Checker Auto (Oriley, etc.) figured if it wouldn't work I could use it on my mower. it fits perfect and starts and turns over the Ruesch great! Im going to get another one to put under the seat to run the lights and radio. Then do a battery isolator .

So for the Ruesch owners out there whos dealers are gone(like mine) or are flakes and cant find some OEM parts, here ya go.

  10. Thanks for the reply.

I thought about that, but I figured that I would be in at least another $3000 to make it like the Ruesch (long travel kit, wheels, tires, etc.)

I'll keep an eye out for a engine and see how much they are going for.

  11. Well, I had a idea of swapping a 700cc FI Rhino engine into my Ruesch. I like the idea of FI and the added power from the 700 (the Ruesch is 500)

So here are the questions, how easy do yall' think it would be (motor mounts, ect.) to swap it? And second were would I get a complete Rhino engine and wiring harness?
