  2. Really appreciate your help with this. It’s a 2012 model. Thanks Dave
  3. I bought a Hisun this year. Am in Perth, WA. Davo.
  4. Just wondering if you sorted your leak. I think I have a similar problem.
  5. I have a Hisun 400 UTV that has developed a sneaky oil leak from the end of the black plastic thing protruding from the side of what I think is the transmission on the driver’s side. Looking for any guidance or advice as to what this thing is and whether it’s fixable.
  6. It’s a 2012 model. It doesn’t smell like it’s running rich, plus I just fitting a new carbi so I think mixture is about right.
  7. It’s not a stupid question as the pins that locate the seat can become stuck in the locating holes, especially if the rubber grommets become damaged. I’ve actually filed down the passenger side pin as it would never release without having to apply excessive force.
  8. After operating, the first several inches of the exhaust pipe where it leaves the engine on my Hisun 400cc glows bright red. Is this normal? There are various heat shields and other insulating material along the pipe’s pathway, so I’m guessing it is. Also, there are no other signs that the engine is running hot.
  9. In the end I bought a cheap Chinese carbi on eBay for $78. Now it runs perfectly.
  10. I recently (like yesterday) bought a secondhand hisun 400cc 4x4 SxS. It’s a one owner 2012 model only done 125 kms. It runs rough and won’t idle for long without cutting out., even when it’s warm. Here’s what I’ve done to try to sort it without success: cleaned air filters, cleaned spark plug, emptied old fuel and replaced, replaced fuel filters. I notice that there is a hose coming from the carburettor (on drivers side). It goes to a T piece but neither branch connects to anything and I can’t seem to find any places where they would naturally attach. Any suggestions appreciated. Davo
