I spoke with Kris and he thinks there is at least 2" of extra spline in the front driveshaft. Garth

To remove the drive shaft you'll need a slide hammer. Also, a universal joint from a 1978 Datsun 280Z should work. Garth

According to Kris, 5 ft lbs would do it. Thanks.

Rocmoc. Here is what Kris has to say on the subject. "Hey Garth This is a misconception with the 1100 Chery. It's the 1600 Chery trans that has the same bolt pattern as the jetta, but there is a problem with this. While the trans will bolt up to VW, it will not work with how the clutch is designed. The Differentials are Joyner designed only, its not a copy of any sort."

Thanks Jarred. I worked for TJUSA as an account manager/rep. I was sent to SC to open the distribution center in Charleston. I've been involved in off-roading since I was a kid, racing and riding sleds, motorcycles, quads, buggies, and pretty much anything with a motor.
