  1. Mount a couple pod lights on it,either on the brush bar if it has one or the roll bar
  2. Looks like crankcase sealant that squeezed out during assembly, good thing is it came out but like mentioned i would just change the oil and recheck, what if you refilled with a cheaper oil,run it for 30 min or so and then drain and recheck?

    2024 Bighorn 550 service manual
  5. Dont know whats changed in clutch material or if it has at all but i have a 91 honda 200 fourtrax, the manual calls for 10w40 sae which is all thats ever been in it,i just recently, within a year changed the clutch pack, first time since bought new and actually the clutches still looked good but its a honda and i still only use 10w40
  6. Its not a throttle spring exactly, but a spring about 6" long and its attached to the pedal lever on the firewall side to a cross member
  7. I just started using Mobil1 4t motorcycle oil 10w40 in my Bighorn 550,it doesnt have wet clutches but the oil is rated for wet clutch, mine lubricates gearbox and engine with a cvt
  8. I bought a "24" 550,my first impression was this thing is noisy,jerky,slow....But after 30 miles i changed the filter and oil to Mobil 1,immediate difference in engine noise,by the time i hit 40ish miles the belt had worn in and alot of the jerkyness stopped on takeoff, and running in low over bumps i was fighting the weak accelerator spring trying to hold steady rpm's so i put a stiffer spring 100% better and use only 93 octane it does not run well on 87.One problem with cabin noise is your sitting on the engine and its inside a big plastic hollow box that amplifies the sound,my next step is to add sound mat inside the box,So at 9k thats about right i paid almost 11k for mine new, bottom line is my father in law likes it over his honda pioneer 700,has more room and independent suspension, adjustable shocks, larger bed, with only 50miles on mine i cant say much on life of the machine but so far im liking it
  9. Then you climb into the bed to access it?what if the bed is full?is there a step into the bed or from the sides?why not just a bed extension or that cargo holder over the hood instead?looks more a waste of $630 better spent on a small trailer instead
  10. Just purchased the Bighorn 550 explorer, after the breakin period what engine oil and diff fluid are you using?ive read about using a motorcycle engine oil or just a 10w40 blend?and differentials, states a 80/90 gl5,is there something preferred over another?is there a better spark plug than the K6RTC? just want to start out doing it correctly,im a true believer in proper maintenance, thanks for any contribution
