Coleman Outfitter 550x alternator capacity

Hello there!  I am looking at adding some accessories to my 2021 550x like lights and a cab heater.  I was wondering if anyone happens to know what the alternator amperage capacity is?  More specifically I suppose is how much extra capacity above the stock draw is with lights on etc.  I want to be cautious not to draw too much.  Googling for it didn’t return anything useful.

I've never seen a spec published anywhere, maybe someone will chime in.

I doubt theres enough overhead to run an electric heater that puts out enough to be worthwhile. My experience with these types of things is there might be 10-15 extra amps of overhead MAX at idle, quite possibly less. A 100 watt light bar will eat half of that. A 100 watt electric heater would eat the other half and isn't going to heat the cab.

If you feel like experimenting you could keep adding load until the battery voltage is <14V at idle, that will give a good idea of the max limit. Dont forget to turn on the factory lights (35W ea), brake lights (10W ea), turn signals (10W ea), etc as all that has signifigant draw.

I would suggest you go with a heater that uses a heatercore for the heat, the only electrical draw-is from the fan. plenty of heat and You cant see any effect when the fan is running such as dim lights etc. Kits are fairly pricey ($399) for the Ice Crusher I bought, but if you are really handy, you could do an install from generic units on ebay and the like.

Thank you both for your replies!  I didn’t mention in my original post, but this Maradyne Is the heater I purchased: https://www.zoro.com/maradyne-hydronic-heater-12v-2-speed-80-cfm-hf-100012-m/i/G0139120/. I kept going back and forth between it and the next step up: https://www.zoro.com/maradyne-hydronic-heater-12v-2-speed-177-cfm-hf-200012-m/i/G0139087/?recommended=true

I’d like to install with purchasing an enclosure in a few months.  I appreciate the input!

The blower on that heater and a reasonably sized light bar should be fine.

With the Chinese noname light bars the wattages get large quickly. The stock halogen headlights on these UTV's I believe are only 35 watts, so I think like a 40-80 watt light bar would be plenty.

I’ve never been around Coleman Utv machines. Do they have a good reputation, durable dependability. Could you compare them to yamaha rhinos or Polaris ranger

I have a 2021 UV34XL and I am kind of looking to change it up from the orange wheels and maybe do a wrap?  Please share photos of any XLs that has been modified to look better and any seat covers recommended.thanks

Onto the next problem, everything has been replaced in the charging system except the Flywheel Rotor, I have it torn apart all the way down to said rotor, but it is suggested that a specific puller is required, and a compatible rotor seems virtually impossible to find.  I can find many like it, but this one is mine scenario for those that get the reference.  For all I know I have the last Massimo Buck 400S on the planet and will never find another part again, but who knows.  Any ideas, help or otherwise that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2021 Axis(Hisun) 700 from Lowes. Will not start. Checked starter, solenoid, spark plug and fuel pump. Everything seems to be fine. The motor turns over and will try to start but just will not. Battery is also good. Frustrated!

Haven't posted in a while since solving the excessive cabin noise issue, so I thought I would share a few upgrades to my Sector... Realize that this is driven daily on the street, so some of the mods are to make it more streetworthy.

      Locking gas door.

      Rear view mirror.

Modified windshield for better airflow in cabin.

Lowered and modified headrest bar for improved rear view.  Tailgate protector.

      Folding armrests.

Overhead utility rack.  Keeps the interior cooler and dryer, too!

      Folding rear seats.

      Dust cover and seat protector.
If anyone wants links to the rear view mirror, seats, or arrests, let me know and I will post.  But know that everything requires some level of fabrication.  The utility rack was all custom built.  Cheers!
