I was wondering if it is normal for the RPM to go up and down while keeping constant pressure on the accelerator.I noticed today while sitting in neutral i reved it up to 1500 and tried to keep it there. It would go up to about 1700 and drop to 1200 and back up and down, would never stay consistant.I went up to 2500 and then it would jump to 2900 then drop to 2200 and back up to 2900 and down again.I made sure I was not doing it with the pressure from my foot.I was wondering if this was normal.

Thanks in advance.

My opinion is yes, I have a lever to hold the throttle, because of my leg disabilities, and it doesn't hold a constant RPM either, never worried about enough to figure out why, yet. I am building a cruise control for mine so I can set it at 2500 or so and let the controller hold the throttle relatively constant went going up a rough hill, usually I end up full throttle because I can work my feet very well. The problem with the lever is that as I go uphill, I need more, and as I go down hill I need less.

it just seems it should be holding a consistant rpm.I thought at first it might be fuel regulater not set correctly but it is at 55psi.

When I am moving forward on my Hisun 500, the motor accellerates up and down while I have my foot on the gas pedal.  It also is not idling very well.  Both symptons appeared at about the same time.  What should I look for?  Thanks.

I have a fuel injected UT400 that will start and idle, but surges and sputters at higher speed.  It has been sitting for 2-3 months and was fine when parked in garage.  I assumed it was a fuel/air problem and pulled the throttle body and cleaned it up.  I've ended up replacing the injector, IAC valve, MAF Temp Pressure Sensor, and fuel filter.  I've also checked the spark plug, Still surging.  I reset the ECU after every component swap.
I plan to pull the throttle body again and look evrything over for any visible leaks, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated on next steps.   The problem developing after sitting makes me think it should be something simple, but I'm stumped.  BTW the fuel was fresh and treated with Stabil.

      Thanks.

In the case of, for instance my T-boss 410, when placed in neutral and the parking brake off, should I be able to manually move the UTV, or will there be some resistance? I understand they are heavier than a lawn tractor, but when I put disengage the transmission on my Ariens 20hp lawn tractor, I can move it manually. I guess I'm trying to find out if I may have a parking brake issue.
      Thanks 👍

I have a bobcat UT that will not start.. I have bypassed the key switch. It will not start. I have jumped across the start of solenoid. It will turn over and fire. I understand. This will probably be a neutral safety switch. Does anybody know that if I can bypass this to keep this running?
