2022 Axis 700 overheating. We bled system several times, no luck yet. Weird thing is Radiator isn't getting hot and air coming into overflow jug. Doesnt seem like its moving water. Fan working fine, even wired it to turn on by switch. Only has 100 miles or so, just baffled. I am going to try bleeding more and see what happens. I did the head gasket test for fumes in the antifreeze, that was neg so far... Thanks

When filling the radiator to bleed the system make sure that the front of the vehicle is jacked up higher that the engine to get the air out.  Sounds like you still have a air bubble.

Hi, I'm new here. I just purchased a 2017 Textron Stampede Off Road Bad Boy. I'm having over temperature issues. So far I have checked the thermostat, it was not there, guess the last owner had same issue but forgot to mention it. I also tore down the oil cooler bracket to get to the water pump. I had purchased a replace kit for it but there is nothing wrong with it. I removed the plug wires and turned the engine over, no water was coming out of the open thermostat housing. The water pump turns firmly with the engine, there is no slop. I put it all back together and thankfully there are no leaks. Next I filled the system and tried bleeding air based on the factory video. I did get quite a bit of air, maybe not all? I topped it off and fired it up. Heated it up and even though the fan came on at 3 bars, it continued climbing until the 5 bars all lit up and LCD started flashing. So I either have air still in the system or I'm missing something? Do these run normally at 5 bars on temp indicator? Is my temperature sensor maybe bad?  Mine runs really good and I do not want to ruin it. Has 2200 miles on it. Suggestions?

Cootupnorth,

Need to start your on thread. Don't highjack somebody else's.

With that said. I'd get a infrared thermal readers and see what it reads. Could just be a bad sensor. I put a digital temp gauge on Axis 500. They make a sleeve of a thing that can go online with the radiator hose. It has an opening to insert a sending unit. Can then install a digital or manual temp gauge and not have to rely on trying to determine what a bar graph might be trying to tell you. And you can leave the OEM sender in place for the computer to do its thing. And if needed replace the OEM sender with a new one if it's bad.

Brent4a,

Just keep bleeding with the radiator/front end jacked up as best ya can. Hope you don't have to replace head gasket again either. Good luck.

Right, but figured it wasn't completely airlocked. Thought there may have been some coolant circulation. I know on the Axis 500 (different I know) there is a sending unit in the radiator. That the only one I know of. And coot said the radiator fan kicked on. So there should have been some circulation. But maybe not.
