That my upper steering u-joint is going to break.

I know that the joint slipping out of the steering shaft is a major issue, but the thread didn't mention fixes. What have you guys done to fix this? I put a 3/32 split pin through the very bottom half of it and it works fine (400 miles +), but the joint flexes as you spin the steering wheel (both before and after the split pin was installed).

Also, some have mentioned a 4x4 manual conversion from the original electric. Anyone have any pics?

I use my T2 for long distances and would hate to have things break down far from life...

Is the steering joint flexing or is it loose? They are typically loose when new. To fix the joint to shaft mount, I made 2 halves that clamp tight around the shaft. This is welded to the original cut off joint. In my case, I replaced the entire upper and lower joints with a good ones I bought off of ebay. One of the halves has two 1/4" set screws in it which tighten down into shallow holes in the steering shaft. Secure and no slop.

It's tight, but I can still see it flex. Were the ones oyu bought on ebay made for the Joyner? If not, how did you size them? Or did you have to modify purchased units?

I bought a used steering shaft with joints for a 91 Tauris 3.0 and adapted it to my needs. Cost me $35 with shipping.

Hi, my 2010 Hisun will crannk but comes to a stop and only clicks.  It has new battery and solinoid. Battery connections all seem good. Any ideas what the problem is?

The Axis 500 will not shift into low or reverse.  I have high when it should be in low and all the other places it is reverse.  The gears in the shift cover are fine and I shifted it when the cover was off and yet no change (so it can't be the shifting mechanism gears).  I t has been difficult to get it into low for awhile.  But now it is either high or reverse, no neutral either.

I just bought a new 2024 Hison 550 Stryker 2 months ago. this is the second time I have had this issue.  It only has about 20 hours on it. The last time it happened we took it back to the dealer. it was a fuse.  Since we live three-hour time driving there and back. I would like to find another solution if possible.  I have tried all the fuses that seem to have anything to do with starting.  Currently checking the battery. The battery is new. it came with the unit. It is probably 6 months old.  the UTV has all power to everything electrical. lights turn signals and radio all work.  When trying the key to start . it is 100% dead. as in it doesn't even click.  There is a low whirring like the fuel pump is turning on though. The Unit was running and driving just fine.  we shut it down for the night. The next morning my wife found it in this condition.  Thanks for any Ideas or solutions???   Otherwise, it goes back to the dealer tomorrow. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon. Great little UTV when it does run.😅  anyone else ever have this Issue..?

the break pedal seems to not fully throw therefore it won’t engage the switch in order to start.
it throws enough to stop the UTV but not enough to engage the switch.
I used it this morning, started fine, did some work then shut it off to talk to a neighbour and it wouldn’t start after. I can hear the injectors working but the break pedal doesn’t seem to go all the way down.

Most of us complain about the ridiculous noise in the cabin. My wife likes to ride but the noise is a major downer. You can’t even have a conversation without shouting at each other. Well, I manage to reduce the cabin noise by approx 200%!

I addressed the intake that is poorly placed right between the driver and passenger. First, I cut the air filter inlet pipe in half (pic 1). I then reinstalled it upside down (pic 2). I then attached a flexible intake tube (pic 3) and directed it behind the cabin (pic 4). Major difference.

Then I covered the interior engine cover with Dynamat extreme and then 200 mil Chaogang sound deadener / heat shield mat on top of that (pic 5). Since I cut off the intake and redirected it, I completely closed off the intake (engine fence) so no engine noise can come thru (pic 6). It also reduced the heat approx 50%. I did leave on the heat mat that came stock on the engine cover, so it has 3 different mats. It was a snug fit. Major difference again.

My wife rides all the time now since we can have a conversation when we ride. Major improvement to my riding experience. Thought you might like to check it out.
