Trooper T4

Its great to see what everyone is doing with there utv's. I recently bought a Trooper T4, its a great machine. I recently found oil leakeing out of my right front shock and its empty now. I wondered if there was a way to repair the shock or do I need to buy a new one? If someone had one they had taken off to replace it with an upgrade I am looking to buy one.

We ride a lot around Utah so if anyone has any good trail ride suggestions we would love to hear about great places to go.

Thanks,

yatto

First off Hello! Mine did the same thing...You cannot rebuild them there welded togather...Keep looking on here...If you are in a hurry you might just have to buy a new one..There are a few on here that put shocks on theirs....So you might get lucky...

Thanks Cupojoe! I ended up having to buy a shock. Hopefully the other's don't go out soon. Thanks for the reply!!

as far as trail suggestions go, have you checked out hobble creek? there's a pass that goes around, and ends at squaw peak. it's basically a dirt road but there's a ton of riding in there and it's not well known/low traffic.

other than that, west desert is your friend!

Well I'm struggling trying to do these posts right. Thanks bigdan120 for the advice about my shock being not repairable and thanks Cupojoe for the trail ride information. I didn't know you could ride UTV's up Hobble Creek Canyon, I will certainly check it out. It looks like we will go try the Joyner out tonight up American Fork Canyon.

I have a 2022 500 Hisun product, I have had them in the past. I change my oil myself and trying to drain through the hole where I remove the plug is a mess.  How does everyone keep the belly pan clean during the oil and filter service?

Please help I have a Massimo 400 buck that has an oil leak. The oil is leaking on the front side of the motor. It leaks out of a u-shaped steel pipe that has two banjo style fittings on it. I have tried using RTV and different banjo washers and have had no luck. It drips about one drip per second while it's running. I can't find parts for it at this time.

We own a 2020 Kubota RTV-XG-850, with only 400 hours on it and it has been at the dealer 3+ months. We were just informed our engine failed and requires a complete rebuild at only 400 hours! There is a loss of compression in cylinder #1, which is causing backfiring and a loss of power. There is also excess gas in the engine oil.
We are just outside of the manufacture's warranty period, and they are serving us a nearly $5000 repair bill, with only a 90 day warranty.

A member at a different forum had the same issue at 22 hours and fortunately, his RTV is under warranty. He was informed that "short tripping" (as Kubota describes it) causes gasoline to enter into the engine oil, which causes a dilution of engine oil and eventually leads to catastrophic engine failure. This killed our engine in under 400 hours!

Is anyone else with a 2018-2022 XG-850 running into similar issues?
