I just got this thing a few weeks ago. When I got it it would run but try to stall out if I got more than an idle. I replaced the fuel pump tonight because my jeep had the same symptoms when the pump went out on it. After I replaced the pump it will fire off but die instantly. Any help?

Check the gas cap gasket. My 610 mule ran like shit after an hour of running. The gasket in the gas cap was blocking my vent hole in the cap. The gasket was also upside down according to the parts diagram. I havent had an issue yet.

Just the pump

Personally I'd likely put a lot of effort into making sure the injectors aren't gummed up from the gas that's sold these days. I understand the gas that's available, causes most of the problems like yours.

After posting earlier, I did a quick Google search, and it seems that these gas units are a bit finicky about gas quality, and the ethanol is the worst. So I'm thinking I'll revise my opinion towards the regulator.

Since you recently acquired this mule, you probably don't know much about the mechanical history of this thing. So I'd start with the basics. I'm certain it's in the fuel system, although I've been wrong many times before. And barring any unforseen issues such as your pressing the throttle, prior to starting, (some people do as a habit of starting). My gut feeling is the injectors. Although it could easily be one of the sensors, but I'm thinking that you'd get a warning light if that were the case.

Started messing with this again today. Pulled the fuel rail off and couldn't get any gas to flow through the injectors. I'm going to run down to the hardware store and get some carb cleaner and try yo clean the injectors. Is there any tips on cleaning them

I know this is from the dead but it is the exact issue that I am having, same replacement of pump only not the full assembly, and I'm jw if you ever figured this issue out ?

Hope I posted this in the right place. Looking for the left side shaft carrier where the rear bearings go for an 1100cc sand viper, I understand an 800 cc carrier will also work. I need the old style two bearing with the spacer in the middle, the new style with just the one wide bearing wont work. If anybody has one I'll buy it right away. my email is [email protected]

Have a MSU 500 that we got from my wife's uncle a while back. We've had it running and hauling around the property but it stopped a few months ago after what I thought was running out of gas and I'm just getting to looking into it.
Had fuel to the injector but nothing coming out the injector so swapped with new injector and installed inline filter in the supply hose from fuel pump. Tried again and still nothing but noticed this time that I can't hear the fuel pump priming.
Pulled off the electrical connection and I'm getting 12V to the fuel pump but it won't run. Put it on a test bench and got it to run so put test lamp between +ve and -ve terminals on the connector and nothing. Checked against the passenger seat securing post and get a light.
Tried chasing the wire back and think that the ground is through the ECU but not 100% sure. Can someone confirm for me? And if it is through the ECU, is the ECU just grounded against the frame or is it wired through to the battery?
Thanks in advance and hope this all make sense!

I am about 6 months in to owning my 520. It is used mainly to run back and forth to our barn and shop. Occasionally, I run it up and down a few fairly steep hills on the property. One day, as I was going up one of the hills, the motor started sputtering and a tremendous amount of smoke was coming out of the exhaust. I was near the top and it made it (sputtering) up. Once back on the flat, I made it home. I loaded it on the trailer and took it back to the dealer. They said they checked everything out and found no issues. Over the next month or so, I only had occasion to go up hills once or twice with no issue. Then one day, again as I was going up a hill, the engine sputtered, giant plume of white smoke and then the engine died. 30 seconds later, started up and made it to the top. Repeated the route (down and up) and the same thing happened again. Called the dealer and their head of service said he would come out and wanted to see it first hand. He came out a few days later and repeated the route several time and it never happened with him in it. I had videoed the whole thing on one of the times it happened to me, but since it happens intermittently, could not produce it when he was here. I told him that I had checked the temperature, the oil level and the antifreeze level after each occurrence and they were normal. I asked him to call Kubota and ask what the possibilities were and that I am not fond of it dying on the hill and blowing the smoke and I didn't want to wait until something catastrophic happened to figure it out. When I followed up, they had no answers (which doesn't exactly please me). Any ideas? The attached photo was the start of the smoking. Didn't know how to upload the video of the whole thing, but it fogged the whole area.

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.
