Hello everyone and thank you for letting me join your forum.  My family moved from Illinois to Leadville Colorado about 3 months ago.  Leadville has a lot of trails to ride and some fun off road stuff  that i would love to start getting into with my boys. I currently have a 04 HD FXD Superglide that i might sell or trade for a UTV. My question is are there any UTV that are good solid used side by side that i could find for about $4500 or $5000? If not I will keep saving for something. If so what brand and year should i be looking for? Thank you for your help!!

Thank you

Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris!

Can't really help you on bargains. My guess would be that it's unlikely that you can get a quality brand, in the condition that it needs to be, for that kind of money. You get what you pay for. And you want something that's mostly trouble free when you're on the trail. But I'd look for probably a used Yamaha Rhino. They sold lots of those, and they've got a huge aftermarket for parts, and they're good little machines for recreation, and light duty. I really haven't any idea of price, but you might get close.  If you buy used you'll need to consider parts availability as a priority.

What I can tell you, is that you'll definitely want independent rear suspension for hills, and trails. Small, and light is better for recreational use since they're better for mud, and hills. Beware of those Chinese models unless you're a mechanic. I'm sure they're great when they're running. But service manuals are mostly unavailable. Parts only marginally better.

Good luck! Don't forget to tell us what you decide on. And remember that we like pictures.

Thank you Kenfain for the info on the Rhino. Yeah Rhino was something i was looking at, Been looking for some polaris ranger and polaris rzr 570,600. Also seen some arctic cats that look good. Thanks again for the information.

I reckon i don't need that fast sport stuff. Just something that goes good over rocks maybe creeks and hills. So the rhino 600 is prob about the style i need. I see some for around $5,500 to $6,500.

Might think about an inexpensive winch. But  cheap doesn't mean small. A vehicle triples it's weight in the mud. An 1100 lb. vehicle will need at least a 3000 lb. winch if it's buried in deep. But keep in mind that it'll rarely be used, so an expensive Warn winch could be overkill. A couple of snatch blocks and lots of cable/rope/pull straps etc. and you're good to go. Remember to take pictures if you get it buried also, we like pictures!

I have a 2011 or so Landmaster LM200.  I cannot get it to start.  I turn the key and nothing happens.  The brake switch seems to be working, the ignition switch works.  The Coil is new the Voltage Regulator is new and the starter relay is new.

I can connect the terminals on the starter relay and it starts right up and runs fine.  I just can't get it to start by turning the key.

I am having a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes, not much fluid comes out at the calipers when I am pumping the brakes, though that an air bubble near the brake switch might make it not sense that the brake pedal is depressed.

I am at a loss, please help!

"Mrs. Smith" doesn't like how loud our Sector 750 is.  On a HISUN forum someone said the same thing about his 750.  I haven't given it much thought because I've been more focused on stuff that has broken.
So, I used my decibel meter to check ours out.  4000 RPM, Low gear, under 20 MPH . . . . 97 decibels.  That's above most ordinances, even state boat noise limits.
AI Overview Ninety-seven (97) decibels is considered very loud and dangerous to hearing with prolonged exposure, roughly equivalent to a newspaper press, a loud nightclub, or a snowmobile. At this level, damage can occur after just 30 minutes, necessitating hearing protection

I have a Coleman 550.  Was having problems to start with where it would start and then shut off after a couple tries. It would take off and be good. It then got to a point where it would not start at all. I replaced the fuel injection twice the second time I replaced it I noticed a mouse or something had chewed one of the wires that connect the electrical to the fuel injector. . So two-part question first does anybody have a part number for that wire harness?  Second, any other ideas after I fix the wire harness permanently on what could keep it from starting I have gas flow up to the fuel injector.

Hello. I have a 2016 Massimo MSU 500. I was putting on a lightbar and i screwed up and didn't disconnect the battery so when i was taking of the positive cable to put on the power from the lightbar it sparked and now the utv has no power. I turn the key over and all i hear is a chirp. No lights or anything. Everything that comes from the battery to the jumper box up by the battery shows voltage but anything coming out does not such as to the winch or anything like that
