I have a Brush Hog TH420 side by side and having trouble with spinning one tire. The other tire will kick in but only after you spin like hell and dig a hole. The final drive /gearbox is a Comer Industries out of Italy. The part number is 9.485.003.00, SN 0082, Date is E04.  I can find a parts breakdown. When you bring up the transaxle it shows the internal differential but no breakdown. It does say see diff assembly but there is no diff assembly.  I'm not sure if this type is no some other side by side.

With the older cars with limited slip rear ends you had to use certain fluid. It might be the cause of your problem.  Has it ever been changed?  How many hours, miles since the last change?           Manual says to use and change the transaxle fluid.                                                        Mobilube HD LS 80W-90  (or equivalent)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         https://www.manualslib.com/manual/878997/Bush-Hog-Th420.html?page=54#manual

I had been driving for about 15 minutes, everything fine. All of a sudden the engine was surging, losing power, would run with 1/2 throttle or greater and was backfiring badly. Luckily I was close to home and got it back. The tipoff to me was that I thought I was hearing intake noise. Sure enough, the rubber boot which connects the air cleaner and intake piping to the throttle body came loose. Obviously the computer was confused. It turned out to be an easy fix, but this is now added to my inspection list. Just thought this might help someone else.

I realize this part is discontinued but im trying to find this exhaust pipe fir my dads 550.  His brother who has since passed bought this mule for my dad who is now 90 and he is trying to fix everything on it.  I'm willing to take a used one.  A new one would be great if someone still had in stock.  I'll take anything as long as it is in workable condition.   If anyone has any ideas for me im open to hearing them.  Thank you so much.

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!

After sitting this winter in a garage, I noticed coolant under the side by side when I went to get it out.  Does anyone know what would cause the coolant to leak out while in storage?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks,
      John
