Any Texas UTV Women racers out there?

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of adding a Open Womens UTV class to the series and was just wanting to see if there is any interest. We added the Open UTV class this season and it has really taken off so lets try to add a Womens class. If you have and interest please go here and post , there is a poll to see if we should do it.

I was born just way to early, my husband told me I should have been born in the late eighties or early nineties. I would have loved to race.

Cinda, I wouldn't know you if I passed you in the street but what I can tell from what you have just said is," you're young at heart and you have loads of experience, that is only gained through age. knotheadracing, if the open women's UTV class runs in Nevada, you should contact Paiute3 (sorry George), I think she would give them a run for their money.

Cheers Mike.

Thanks Mike! We're actually talking about relocating to Texas..........The problem would be that we'ld be so far from our beloved Paiute Trail.

Cinda,

My brother in law lives in Marshall TX and his son rides, but he says there are no place like the Paiute trail system or the wide open areas to ride on, mostly things like a park with acres, not square miles to ride.

Dirt Riot is hosting an off-road endurance racing in Vernal, UT on May 13th. We are looking for volunteers to help set up and work the event. Have you ever wanted to be behind the sense of the events you love to watch? Want free entry to the event and exclusive Dirt Riot t-shirt? Then come help us put on a great show. This is a fun way to help your off-road community grow, get personal time with the professional competitors and best of all get the best seats in the house for all the action. If you are more interested in competing alongside some of the best teams in the country, we would love to have you compete with us. Our classes are designed to fit a wide range of off-road vehicles. Most trail rigs only take a few safety modifications to pass our tech inspection, and they are items every trail rig should have anyways. Check out our rule book for more information!

We are looking for course workers with recovery rigs and set up help. As a course worker, you will basically just have the best seats in the house and get a t-shirt for helping out. We will position workers around the course with radios to keep the event coordinators informed about what is happen on the course. You will also need a vehicle with mild off-road capabilities and a reliable winch. If are able come out before the event we would love a hand getting the event site ready. We put on 18 events during the summer months and we cannot do it without volunteers like you.

      About Dirt Riot

What is Dirt Riot Endurance Racing? In short, Awesome! If you are looking for the most fun and competitive off-road racing series that anyone from weekend wheelers to professional race teams can compete in, you have found it. Dirt Riot sets up races all across the U.S. each course and location brings new challenges for competitors. The courses typically range from 4-8 miles in length and each race is timed for 1-3 hours, depending on class, the team that completes the most laps in that time wins. Push your rig too hard and you will not last the full race, drive too mildly and fall behind the pace. The key is to learn the track and know your rig’s capabilities. Spectators will enjoy seeing competitors drifting corners, hitting jumps, and taking on difficult rock sections. Dirt Riot has the same race classes as Ultra4 as well as a few more to allow anyone to bring their rig out and compete. Most trail rigs can pass inspection with little to no modifications. This is perfect for a club trail day, challenge your club members to a full race then stay and watch the pros race on the same course you just did.

Anaheim, Calif. - September 22, 2016 - GBC Motorsports racers turned out in force at Round 9 of the WORCS Racing Series at Glen Helen Raceway. GBC sponsored athletes collectively earned 7 class wins and continued their march towards 2016 class championships. Leading the way for GBC Motorsports in the ATV classes was Brian Sirevaag. After missing three rounds in the middle of the season, Sirevaag made his return to WORCS Racing with a victory in the Open A class. He sits in 2nd place in the standings, just 7 points behind the leader with one round remaining. Jolene Crouse added a class win for GBC, taking the checkers in the Women B class. Crouse has kept it close in the points standings and is just 2 points behind the leader heading into the final race. Joseph Semas added a 3rd place podium finish in the Sport 15-29A class, while Hector Urias finished 7th in the 40+ class. The Romo family was victorious again at Glen Helen WORCS, earning 3 wins and 3rd place finish. The SXS races were competitive at Glen Helen, and once again the Romo Family of Randy, Sierra and Claudia Romo made a statement with 3 class wins between them. Randy topped both the SXS 1000 and SXS 1000 Stock classes, while Sierra earned her third straight victory in the SXS Womens class. Claudia Romo joined Sierra on the SXS Womens podium with a 3rd place finish. Randy is in good position to take the SXS 1000 class championship and fellow GBC Motorsports driver Shelby Anderson has virtually clinched the SXS 1000 Stock championship despite finishing 12th at Glen Helen. Sierra holds a steady lead in the SXS Womens class with fellow GBC driver Danielle Weatherly close behind following a 2nd place performance in Round 9. The Romo family relies on their GBC Dirt Commanders to negotiate the WORCS courses. Ryan Holz led GBC racers in the SXS Pro class with a 3rd place podium spot and finished 4th in the SXS Pro Unlimited class as well. Mickey Thomas holds the SXS Pro class lead after finishing 7th at Glen Helen. GBC Motorsports racers put in solid performances in the SXS Pro Stock class, with Blake Barnum finishing 4th, Sierra Romo rounding out the top 5, Nic Granlund in the 6th spot, and Tyson Leaver following in 8th. Jason Meckler added a podium with a 2nd place finish in the SXS 900 Prod class. GBC was well represented in the Youth SXS races as well, as Linkon Leaverton won the SXS Youth 700 class and Casey Sims the SXS Youth 250 Prod class. Fellow GBC racer Jacob Peter joined Casey on the podium with a 2nd place finish. Stadium Super Trucks Open UTV Shootout GBC Motorsports racer Mike Gardner made the most of the weekend, also participating in Robby Gordonâs Stadium Super Trucks new Open UTV Shootout. Held at the Sand Sports Super Show in Costa Mesa, CA, Gardner led all 20 laps of the race and took the win and the $5,000 purse in his Mongrel-equipped UTV. WORCS Racing next heads to Primm, NV on October 21-23 for the season finale.
