HI, I have a old 1991 kawasaki mule 540-c , 2010, and I need a ignition coil for it . the part number is 21121-1187. Unfortunitly Kawasaki discontinued the part. I have been searching for weeks to try and find the part but I have had no luck. I have seen posts that John Deere used this motor in their gator or mower ? But have not been able to cross reference the part # and I am not sure if that is even true. Does anyone know where I can get a new or used coil or have this one rebuilt or the john deere part or engine #. Thanks for the help

There are a number of on-the-car, shadetree tests for your ignition coil, but to definitively determine whether your coil is on the way out, the only proper coil test is with a multimeter. Why? Here's the rundown:

Inside an ignition coil are two coils of wire on top of each other. These coils are called windings. One winding is called the primary winding, the other is the secondary. The primary winding gets the juice together to make a spark and the secondary sends it out the door to the distributor. Either one of these windings can go bad and cause your ignition coil to fail.

Sometimes an ignition coil is bad, clearly bad, as in it makes no spark at all. But if a coil is on the way out, but not dead yet, it can make a weak spark that can cause the car to run rough or wrong. By testing an ignition coil with a multimeter while it's disconnected, you'll be using data and numbers to determine the health of the coil rather than your eyeballs and dead reckoning.

We'll show you how to test both the primary and secondary ignition coil windings using a multimeter.

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.

Hey all, I was just wondering what you guys consider a necessary upgrade or spare part to have or mod onto your machine.
I'm going for a kind of shtf survival rig that's not going to be SUPER heavy and I'm looking at getting:
A spare belt (I keep seeing this mentioned everywhere I look so it must be important)
A spare tire and mount( So would I need a jack like one from an old jeep or something else?)
      Tire chains for the winter
And maybe a cargo bed upgrade so things don't slide out.
      Bumpers because duh.
I already installed high output lights and have a windshield, roof, back window, and winch. And I outfitted a Molle panel for the back of my passenger seat with extra supplies like food, first aid, and spare mags.
Any advise on increasing durability, longevity, and having something on hand because it's absolutely necessary would be a plus.
      Thanks so much!

Just purchased this Old Hisun and it included with a box with a brand new EPS kit. I found YouTube University installation videos and it looks doabke, but maybe the kit is made for newer models because mine doesn't have any extra open plug and play wires I see in the videos that woukd allow me to seamlessly connect the EPS wiring harness too. Has anyone ever retrofitted an EPS kit to a 16 year old model?
Thank you for any usable input offered.
      Sincerely,
