I'm 60yr. old and have a $4,000 budget to get my "first" atv or utv. I've never rode one of these either but I've watched some "youtube" videos and it does'nt look that difficult. I intend to pull a 6 foot 3 blade self propelled finish mower that weighs 200 pounds over 20 acres of rolling field. I need a automatic with select 4 wheel drive and a minimum 400 cc. I live in northern Ky. so i don't see many of these things being used. How can i tell if a used one has been abused? Do you suggest a dealership or a private owner? I need suggestions for buying a atv/utv that will suit my needs. Thanks......Tom

I shopped around for awhile after I noticed my neighbor using his 2500 4X4 Mule to run around the lake area, going to the fishing hole and even towing his 14' aluminum fishing boat and trailer and launching it from the bank of the lake. I located a 2004 Kawasaki 3010 4X4 Mule with 168 hours on the meter, that had been used and abused by a Little League basball staff. They didn't like it and wanted a golf cart, I took it off their hands for less than $3000. The hood was pop rivited on and had oversized chrome wheels and swamp boss tires. I found that the radiator was air locked, and the auxillary coolant reservoir was busted, the transmission jumps out of high gear. It runs good but the front tires rubbed the fender with two large adults in the seat. I replaced the tires, wheels with new original pulloffs. and replaced the missing hood hard ware, now I am into the tinkering phase. For what You are needing I reccomend the slow 25MPH Mule for a working vehicle.

Haven't posted in a while since solving the excessive cabin noise issue, so I thought I would share a few upgrades to my Sector... Realize that this is driven daily on the street, so some of the mods are to make it more streetworthy.

      Locking gas door.

      Rear view mirror.

Modified windshield for better airflow in cabin.

Lowered and modified headrest bar for improved rear view.  Tailgate protector.

      Folding armrests.

Overhead utility rack.  Keeps the interior cooler and dryer, too!

      Folding rear seats.

      Dust cover and seat protector.
If anyone wants links to the rear view mirror, seats, or arrests, let me know and I will post.  But know that everything requires some level of fabrication.  The utility rack was all custom built.  Cheers!

Next problem with charging system to tackle, any help would be appreciated.
      New starter solenoid....check
      New Voltage Regulator...check.
Dynamic test to Stator.....bang...pulling like 2 Volts AC
Problem: Without pulling the part out and stranding the vehicle at the shop forever.... I am trying to find the correct stator or at least one that might not be exact for the Massimo Buck 400S, but fit and connect and do the job if that makes sense.... if anyone has any ideas, please shoot them my way.

I recently purchased a 2019 or 2020 (no manual) Massimo 400S Buck Series UTV.  It ran fine for a couple days but the low battery light was flashing while it drove.  It then died in the field one day and I was able to jump the battery and get it rolling enough to get back to the barn.  It started both times I turned the key for a couple days after and when driven died 10 minutes later in the driveway.  Even after jumping it had no juice, but with the key out of the ignition it kept trying to start, a quick look on the Google machine and it suggested starter solenoid or ignition switch was the culprit.  Fair enough, let's just order a replacement solenoid, right?  No way Jose....the pin connector on the UTV is a 2-pin white plastic connector and the part received is a 4 pin.  How do I swap that and make it work?  Can I even?  Where do I find correct parts in the future?

I bought this SxS brand new.  A couple of years after I bought it, I became disabled.  Thus it has only 47 miles and around 16 hours of use.  I have no need to keep the SxS.  I am in Foley, Alabama.  It is very hard for me to get in out of the Challenger.  I would like to sell the set, 2019 Challenger 400, trailer and uninstalled winch (this was bought brand new as well, someone was supposed to help this newbie install and we never got around to doing this). I want  $6500 for the whole set OBO (Serious offers only).

I have been searching and can't find much info on these units. Pretty surprising as every other thing I own I find a lot of info on. Researching for tech info and such it's like no one owns any of these yet I see them everywhere.
