  1. I liked what you did to your Sector a lot. Our hitch design mounts to the frame, so that the trailer doesnt move with the suspension. They are in powder coating now and should be ready by next week. I liked your hitch big time. Great job. I also love your large tub. Impressive

  2. Well, after much time getting it done right, I am finally done with the new exhaust system for the Strike and Sector 250's. It is getting certified for Spark Arrester currently and should be available by mid next week! It will retail for $299.99 for now, then back to retail later. I want to give all those who have waited a good price right off the bat. It is mandrel bent, carbon fiber canister, with spark arrester and certified at 94 db. So it is track and trail legal. I will have 10 available by next week, and then more following the next two weeks. So, first come first serve for the first 10.

  3. For the Sector and Strike 250's. Hello there, we are now stocking the electrical connection to the rear plug that allows easy aftermarket installation for lights, light whip or more when the key is on. No more cutting into the factory harness to find the right wire to use. With this plug, you can tap it into your accessory and simply plug into the OEM harness. Weather proof connector. Can also be used for a license plate light on the street legal registered units. Comes pre-wired with correct color code. (photo not showing actual plug)

  4. Hello there, just to keep those who own the Sector model up to date.  We are working on  lift kits now for the Sector line up, for all engine sizes. We are also working on more, like storage boxes for the Sectors as well. We are also building trailer hitch set ups for the Sector 250. We are working on seat belt by pass connectors and rear light/license plate light connectors for the OEM connector in the rear. Keep an eye on for more accessories at our website www.250utv.com

Please let us know if there are some things you are looking for that are hard to find. We just might make it for you!

  5. There are a few mechanical issues to address when thinking about changing turning radius. The ability of the OEM steering box/rack. The length of the OEM tie rods, the steering stops built into the OEM spindles. All of this has to be addressed when trying to change the turning radius. You can adjust the steering stops on the spindles, but if the OEM steering box will not allow more movement in the gearing, then there is nothing you can do to get a tighter turning circle. You might try to go with an aftermarket steering rack. You will need to measure the distance from tie rod outer end to the other outer end to try to get one with the same distance in order to have a correct toe in measurement. Making sure the steering shaft will also bolt to the new steering rack as well. Or you will have to cut and weld to make things work. It can be done, but will take some thought.

  6. Just an update on the slow unit issue. I wanted to make sure I get back to everyone regarding the slow top speed on their Hisun 250's. After confirming with HiSUN, the 2017 and newer units have a different gearing inside the engine as well as a modified ECU. This was in response to customer feedback regarding top speed. Some customers were complaining about the units going too fast. So HiSUN changed some things to help control this. I am sure this is the new response from most manufactures now a days.  As no one wants to get sued or have legal issues. It has gotten to be a very liable state we live in now, and if just a few people complain about something, things get changed. I am working on new sprockets which should be here within a week. I am also working on the ECU and hopefully it will be done about the same time. I have yet to confirm if the old gearing will still be available or if it will automatically supersede to the new part number. I will keep everyone up to date on my website.

  7. Yes, I am very close to making a public flash for the OEM ECU's. As for just taking it to a local Delphi shop, it's not that easy. Yes others like Harley use the Delphi MT05, but they use different language. It took me a while to gain access to the language needed to rewrite the ECU. But I finally got it and am working on making more power while still being reliable. I will make everyone aware when its done. But I want it done right. I will either have it available to purchase as a new ECU, or have the customer send me their ECU to remap. I'm thinking some will want to keep a stock ECU for one reason or another.

  8. Hey Jeff,

I can totally understand your situation big time. I am not sure why it took you so long to get parts from the manufacture, I am not a dealer and have not really had any trouble getting parts I need, and even some odd parts at that I have to admit. I agree the fit and finish is nice, but without the dealer support its hard to make it as a dealer. I have worked for one before some of my deployments and am familiar with the problem with warranty and customer satisfaction. No one wants to buy a vehicle and have it break down right away. I don't believe they set up dealers just to get rid of inventory, perhaps its just to help get more dealers out there for support as well. The larger the dealer network, the better its going to be for the manufacture to support the dealer network. It sounds like maybe you had a bad dealer network manager who did not support you. I also don't know what area you are in, but here in southern california, there are none of these really out there for sale used. I have looked! If they had a lot of dealers selling them to auction houses, then the market place would be showing them available, but I just dont see that.

I cannot comment on the generator side of life, as I know more about the UTV side of things. But I have been a mechanic at a large name brand dealer, (name not important) and we had our share of faulty equipment from them as well. We have had issues with what I called 'made on friday' where it looks like they just put it together to get out of there, and they just hoped the dealer would take care of it.

All I tell my customers as a service center and performance shop, is that we like to really go through them before they go out for the first time. I like to look over all the nuts and bolts, run them for a bit and look for problems before they use them. This way I can make sure their weekend will be the best possible. I am sure you have great mechanics, and have probably been in the industry for a long time, and once in a while these things do happen. Remember the Polaris fire recall? it was hard for the dealers here to deal with that when it came out. I am also sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with the dealer network, that sounds like it shouldnt have happened that way, or perhaps they should have been there more for you. But again, I am only going by your few words and I am sure I don't have all the information available. I hope you have recovered and are doing well now. I wish you all the best and success.

If you could, perhaps you might tell me some of the issues you had with the units breaking down within the first 5 miles as you said. I would love to be able to touch up on these areas with my customers, and perhaps prevent any problems happening on my end as well. In this business we all need to support and help one another I have found. so, if you have any specific areas that were causing you problems, please let me know about them. Thank you

  9. Yes, we enjoy our Hisun 250 as well. When we go camping, there are a lot of others that go with us, and what we do is put the Hisun out by the other off road vehicles and when anyone in our camp want to ride, it is like community UTV's. It's great as everyone can ride this fun UTV. Parents get to ride alone with their young ones, and the young kids growing up get a chance to ride in something that looks like the big people get to use. Most of the time it is simply riding around the camp grounds all day, (hard to get used to them just going in circles lol) But everyone has fun. They ride it until it runs out of fuel lol. None of the kids or adults want to get out once they get a ride in it. The folks like the ease to use the UTV, automatic and doesnt go to fast. The kids love it because they think it goes fast lol. This way no one feels left out of the fun when maybe they didnt bring any off road vehicles to use, or there's broke down. You really can't go wrong for the money.

  10. I would check to make sure the vent hose is not pinched. It sounds like the fuel tank is building up pressure while the engine is running. I would gain access to view the fuel tank and observe and inspect the entire fuel tank vent hose. Look to see if it is pinched or blocked at all. This would cause the problem you are talking about. You should not have the pressure when removing the fuel fill cap.

  11. Hello there, there are a couple of things to address here. First off is to make sure when the throttle peddle pressed all the way down, that the throttle is also opening all the way. You can check this by removing the center cover. When you press down on the throttle, reach over to the butterfly valve and see if you can open the throttle any more on the throttle body. If so, adjust the throttle cable. But you need to make sure when the throttle is released that the throttle also closes as well. Meaning you will have just a little bit of slack in the throttle cable. You don't want the throttle body hanging up causing the engine to rev. After that, there is come control in the ECU, but there is also a electronic speed limiter, located under the dash by the winch control box. Try to make sure the throttle is adjusted properly first and let me know. Matt

  12. Yes welcome. As with any off road product, it really depends on how it was assembled from the get go. I am not hear to bash any dealer what so ever, but no matter what you buy, you can always find someone who has had nothing but problems and others who have never had one issue. I am glad you are having fun, thats what its all about.

  13. It only takes one battery, you only use two if you are using a lot of juice for extra things like radios and a lot of lights. As for the fuel issue, I would see if you can find a OEM fuel pump, this way the line will connect properly and not give you any issues in the future.

  14. You really need to have a diagnostic code reader with live data plugged in. This is the only way to read the EFI system as it runs. It will show if you have any hidden codes, it will show the voltage at the TPS, engine coolant sensor and so forth. All these things need to be working correctly for the engine to get the correct spark and fuel. But with out a Diagnostic reader plugged in, you will have to sit there with a meter and measure the electrical items one by one. The fuel injector simply gets a signal to pulse, this opens the injector at specific times to squirt fuel into the cylinder. This is confirmed by signals from either the timing sensor, or crank sensor. You will also need to make sure something as simple as the coolant temp sensor is working properly, if it is not reading properly, it will tell the engine it is either too cold or too hot. This will effect your fuel problems. You will also have to measure the map sensor, the tps sensor and so on. That is why it is so much easier to get it plugged in and read it as you try to start it. Is there anyone close to you that has a diagnostic reader to plug in when you try to start it?

  15. That is another great idea, I would only tell anyone to watch out for cheap "aftermarket" clones as they sometimes have a 'reliability' issue. But if you feel you have a quality one, by all means, install it. The idea is that when it is over, it will prevent liquid from spilling out. You can test anyone of these items by using a plastic water bottle and a rubber tube installed on the bottom end. just turn it upside down, and see if it stops the water from flowing out. If it does, then you are good to go. I just used a higher priced unit sourced from a reliable race source. But there are a lot of good quality aftermarket anti roll valves out there you can choose from. Good luck and have fun!
