  1. I can't remember the number, but they did give me one. It was for sure between 2000-3000. I made the comment I was surprised it wasn't more than that. They said many people gave up and went to something else including two of their customers. I guess many people don't have our patience (or ignorance) depending on how you look at it. Lol!
  2. My dealer told me today (April 9) that 300 kits have made their way into the country but they didn't get even one.
  3. I want to take a moment to thank each and every forum member who have posted on this thread. You guys have provided me with so much more information than my dealer or Kawasaki. I would be remiss if I didn't mention a couple of chuckles along the way as well. I truly appreciate your taking the time and making the effort to share the information you have gathered.
  4. Especially when you live in Illinois and they charge a tax of over 6% on rebates.
  5. You are spot on with that statement. The biggest thing I don't understand is why everything about this situation is such a hidden secret. If it weren't for the things I have done on my own (calling Kawasaki and joining this forum) I wouldn't know a single thing. Through all of this, neither my dealer or Kawasaki has reached out just to share any kind of update. I agree completely. They know where those parts are and despite the virus, they know when they will arrive.
  6. If I ever get my Mule Pro FXT ( stuck in stop sale purgatory), I am going to install a front windshield and top. I am leaning very heavily towards the full tip up windshield and Low Pro #3 top both by Fortress. I would love to hear the thoughts of those of you that own either or both. Thanks.
  7. Any guesses on the percentage of people that received the letter from Kawasaki that said to "stop driving" that actually will, until parts show up?
  8. I could have made the exact same post with one exception. My dealer has finally admitted they have no idea when the steering parts will arrive. I feel that bit of information is the first and only piece of information I have been given that I can take to the bank.
  9. Let's make that a large grain of salt. Lol! I spoke with Kawasaki customer service today (April 30). They told me my dealer "should" receive parts in a couple of weeks.
  10. I was wondering if any of you have heard anything at all about the steering parts arriving anywhere. My dealer has no idea on when they might arrive.
  11. I can't speak for all of Illinois but I can say my dealer is currently open.
  12. Mine is the opposite. My dealer has the parts for the fire hazard but no parts for the steering.
  13. Trying to nail down a specific time line on this is about as easy as getting congress to pass a economic stimulus package.
  14. Today (March 23) my dealers service department told me they were "hoping" all necessary parts would arrive this week. They also said that the machines held up in the stop sale were the #1 priority for parts preference.
  15. As is mine. They told me their service department was considered an essential service. Of course, they sell and service automobiles as well.
  16. Thank you for the information. I know that I, and most likely others would appreciate it if you kept us posted on how this progresses for you.
  17. Does this mean those of us that made a stop sale deposit a few months back are now bottom feeders for parts availability?
  18. Unfortunately, my dealer just said (today) "several weeks". I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't have any idea who to believe anymore.
  19. It should make for some interesting conversations for the service departments when people read to stop driving their machines and call the dealer to schedule a repair only to be told parts aren't available to fix them.
  20. I spoke with Kawasaki customer service earlier this evening. They told me they had all of the parts necessary to take care of Stop Sale #1 (Fire Harzard). Stop Sale #2 (Steering Issue) is a bit more long winded. COVID-19 is definitely playing a role in slowing things down. However, they have found a manufacturer in Taiwan who is going to start supplying the parts needed for the fix although not in the numbers they had hoped for. The first shipment is supposed to arrive the first week of April with weekly shipments coming in after that. Kawasaki is still trying to find a manufacturer here in the U.S. that can expedite the situation. It is anyone's guess which dealers will receive parts first.
  21. The only thing I can say is my dealer contacted me a couple of days ago. All he did was echo Kmrider's information which we already had. He did mention that Covid-19 could very easily stretch things out even more.
  22. Did he happen to mention where the parts were coming from?
  23. Today I decided to celebrate Kawasakis double stop sale fix government approval by ordering the new tires I intend to replace the factory tires with. The new tires will be here tomorrow. Unfortunately... lol!
